Hello and good morning...
Happy Tuesday!!!!
I'm sharing a layout with you using the Echo Park Our Family mini collection kit for
another layout. The photo is from Thanksgiving, we went to Knott's
Berry Farm and had their amazing dinner!!! The kids loved it- they could
go back as many times as they wanted, and I loved it because I didn't
have to cook or clean!! win win...
The kids took a photo with Snoopy who was walking around, my little one was a bit too shared to be in the photo:
I added a large cork arrow and some wood hexagons- totally out of my stash:
And
then used a mask to mist with and added a handful of brads- another
item from my stash that hasn't been seeing enough love of lately, so I
thought I would pull them out:
So
if you already haven't, check out the mini collections from Echo Park.
The pack goes really far and you can make quite a few layouts with it-
and it includes stickers, tags and papers...
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

Hello Summer
Hello friends! It's finally the weekend and I hope you are having a good one so far! I'm sharing a layout I created for one of the Daily Challenges this week on the forums. If you haven't checked out our fun challenges or our current Got Talent? challenge, please do! The ladies on our design team wow me with their creativity!
I seem to be on a Crate Paper kick lately! I just love their collections! The new Poolside is so fun and has a variety of embellishments to play with! I scrapped a recent photo of my niece and nephew having fun at our local splash park! :)
I layered a chipboard banner and cardstock sticker over one of the cute Poolside Frames for my title. I love that the ephemera pack as so much to choose from!
I love to layer little embellishments so I pulled a few of the ephemera pieces out that caught my eye! Then I just try to configure them to see if they work! Here I used two tags as well as a sticker title. And can I say how much I LOVE the wooden buttons? So cute!
Layering more tags and stickers, as well as patterned papers! I love the diagonal grey and creme print as it sets off the bright colors!
Showing more of the Poolside embellishments! The pinwheel stickers are a definite favorite in this collection!
At the side of my page, I layered more ephemera plus a sticker boarder.

Dorks / Got Talent Challenge #4 is up today!
Happy Friday, friends! Missy back with you today. I'm so excited to share my first Got Talent Challenge of the summer with you all! This is our 4th challenge so far. Check in every Friday for a new one on the forum and Facebook page!
This week's challenge is to start with any color of plain cardstock and create a background from scratch using ONLY ribbon and washi tape. You can add mixed media and whatever embellishments you'd like, but no patterned paper is allowed.
I found this pretty multi-colored ribbon in my stash and pulled more coordinating ribbon and washi tape to start. I decided to create a strip design and even cut some of the ribbon to make them look a little uneven and jagged. I added a bit of torn washi tape in the center and then added in a little bit of gelatos here and there for a "smudgy" look. The rest is chipboard, rhinestones, thread, a bit of stamping and a flair button.
I really love the colors in the the ribbon. After I glued them down, I went over them with some clear gesso. That helped cement them down and also allowed the gelatos to smooth over them. I added in some machine stitching as well as this die cut from The Cut Shoppe.
I added white and blue tissue paper under my photo instead of patterned paper and then layered some washi tape on the side. I've had this messy frame sitting on my desk for a while, and it fit perfectly under my photo. I also added in this flair button.
I knew I wanted the title to be "dorks".....because we totally are...haha :D I cut it pretty large on my Cameo and just layered it on top of the ribbon and tape.
I used some of the alphas from the Basic Grey Prism Sticker Sheet here and used an American Crafts stamp.
One last close up of the ribbon and the journaling...I really loved how it all turned out.
Here's the process video of this layout being created from start to finish if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out our forums and our Facebook page to play along with the challenges!
Have a great day!

U & Me
Hi there, Lisa S here today to share a page I created with my *last* piece of Simple Stories I Am...I think I need to restock as I still have lots of embellies (oh how I love the Chipboard Frames)...I know many of you bought this line (we all loved it so much!) so here's a little fresh inspiration for the collection...
Like I said, I only had the one piece of paper so I had to be creative. I used one piece of paper, two border stickers and 2 journaling cards as the base of this layout. I cut another journaling card into the flag shape for a little journaling and cut the flower you see below my photo from another of the journaling cards. Stickers and chipboard round it out for a fast and easy page highlighting a quick snapshot I took with my daughter this past Sunday. Hop on over to our Throwback Thursday board for the challenge with this layout!

Our Family of 5.
Hello and good morning....
Happy Tuesday!!!
One thing that I always enjoy working with are the Echo Park Mini Theme Collection kits.. I feel like everything I need is in the kit to make a fun page. It's got the papers, stickers and tags for journaling or layering with. The kits also make several pages. I used this kit on two pages already and I still have supplies to make a couple more. I LOVED the Our Family mini collection kit, because I knew it would work with any theme, or photos that I had to scrap.
I used a photo from last Thanksgiving of our family together.
Pretty much everything on the page is from the kit. Minus a few mini October Afternoon alphas (I might just have a serious supply collection of these....) to finish off the title, and then I added a few bling pieces for a little pop of texture:
And just added a pop of stitching at the top of the page..
So seriously, if you haven't picked up the Echo Park Mini collection kits.. check them out!! They are great when you are going to a crop and don't want to prep too much, or just want to sit down and make a few pages with the same collection. If you need any ideas for page sketches, also check out the latest sketch on the My Scraps & more sketch blog, esp the June 19 sketch which was just posted on Friday.
Thanks soooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

flower fun wth crate paper Journey
Happy Sunday!
This week I had the honor or posting my challenge for the Got Talent summer challenges. The challenges have been creating some amazingly inspiring pages that we are so excited to see everyone sharing on the new Facebook challenge page.
My challenge this week was to use upwards of 6 or more patterned papers on one layout for a fun look. I created my layout using the gorgeous Crate paper Journey collection. this is by far my most personally anticipated collection this season. I am a huge sucker for bold geometric prints, and this collection has more than its share of them!
I pushed myself to use a total of 9 different papers, and kept it less busy by creating them into strips behind my photo. I started with the gorgeous pink happy camper paper for my base paper.
I created this layout based on this weeks awesome sketch over at the sketch blog by guest designer Katrina Hunt. Be sure to peek in the blog and play along, and we would love to see you join us on facebook with your amazing creations!

I fussy cut the chevron( tribal) paper for added interest at the bottom of my paper strips. I loved going through the box of embellishments to find just the right tidbits for the bottom and tops of my page.

Crate Paper Confetti: 8
Hello and happy Saturday! Jennifer here today to share a layout I created for this week's Monday challenge! I used Crate Paper's Maggie Holmes' Confetti collection. CP always has such beautiful lines and this is no exception! Confetti has such soft colors and prints; its geared for birthdays but you can use it for pretty much any theme! I chose to scrap this photo of my gorgeous niece!
The collection comes with a two 6 x 12 sticker sheets with many shapes and letters! I chose these gorgeous pennants to peek out from under my photo! I love the gold glitter! There is lots of gold accent in this line!
For my title, I used a chipboard number from the Chipboard Accent sheet.
I love to layer pieces of ephemera along with stickers! Here is a cute kraft tag with a "love" circle from the sticker sheet. I also added a gold paper clip from my stash.
I always appreciate a good ledger print! The B side of Centerpiece is perfect!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out our Facebook group for this week's Got Talent Challenge! We would love for you to play along! Have a wonderful day!

Summertime Love
Hey there, friends! Missy back with you today. Happy Friday!
I'm excited to share my latest layout with you. I created for this week's Word Up Wednesday challenge over on our forums. The challenge was to use the most obvious word of the season....SUMMER! Easy peasy, right?!
I was in the mood to use up some of my washi tapes, so I pulled out several colors and patterns that coordinated with the new I Love Sunshine collection from Echo Park. I tried something new on this page. I filled a sheet of white cardstock with washi tape strips and then ran it through my Cameo, cutting this giant swirl cut file (from The Cut Shoppe). I LOVED how it turned out! It cut right through the cardstock and the tape and created this super fun and bright background piece.
I added some distress ink in Mermaid Lagoon to the background for some pool water contrast and layered everything on top of it. The "Love This" and "Hello" are from the DIY Boutique Simple Stories collection.
I decided to make my title vertical, so I created the word "Love" in a scripty font and cut it out large. I cut Summertime from one of the 6x6 papers and adhered that down. I used rainbow colored threads to stitch over the "Love" die cut. I added in some tangled yellow thread and added a flair button from my stash.
Here's a close-up look at the washi taped die cut. Super fun and and easy way to get lot of color and pattern on your page :) Those little circles are from the Snap Simple Stories line. I added pink machine stitching through them all.
Here's one more look at the title area. I just love the colors!
I hope this inspires you to use your washi tape in a new and fun way! I really enjoyed this, and it was fun putting all those tapes together. You could coordinate tapes in any color scheme to match up with any collection!
Have a great day!

Daddy's Girl
Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created for our Tuesday Trigger Challenge in the forums. The challenge for June is to use Dads, Yellow and/or Sunshine on your page. I used a sunshiney collection, the Simple Stories Summer Vibes Collection to create a page about my youngest daughter and her daddy. Yellow embellies just finished it off...
I just loved working with the Summer Vibes collection. It's definitely versatile and doesn't need to be used JUST for summer photos. The collection kit is an amazing value, too...Kit HERE. It comes with one of each of the papers and stickers, including alphas and can be used for traditional or pocket scrapbook pages. And as an enabler alert, the Recollections flowers from Michaels are the perfect shade of mint and yellow for the collection. :) Hope to see you linking us up with this month's challenge. We love to see your work!

Matchbook Mini Album Tutorial
Hey there scrappy friends!
Lisa here today.
I posted the Got Talent challenge over on the My Scraps & More message board. This is only the second week, so there is lots of time to play along! There will be a new challenge posted every Friday through the summer.
My challenge is to create a layout and add a mini album on it.
It's been awhile since I made a matchbook mini album. I love them! They are a perfect way to add lots of photos to one page.
Here is my layout using Amy Tangerine Plus One and Bella Blvd. Enamel DooDads and a fussy cut camera:

Here are some close ups:
The tutorial to make a matchbook mini album for wallet sized photos:
Cut a piece of cardstock 6 1/4"x 3 1/2"
Score at 2 5/16", 2 7/16" and 5 5/16". It should look like this:
Use eyelet setter and create 2 small holes on the bottom of the matchbook flap. I believe mine are 1/8". I put them at 1 5/16" and 2 3/16". You can add eyelets here, but it's not necessary.
Add patterned paper to front flap and stitch if desired. Add a ribbon through the two holes and tie. Add photos (I added 10) and then fold up flap and staple on both sides of eyelets.
adhere to your layout.
Here is a close up of mine:
I would love to see your take on this challenge.
Have a great day!
Lisa
