1,2,3,4,5,6

Tracy here and I'm curious how many photos you put on a page.  I wish I could scrap pages with 4 or more photos on a page.  I might actually get close to being caught up then.  But that is not going to happen.  I like to put too many pieces of paper and embellishments on my page to fit more than 1 or 2 photos at a time.  I certainly don't want the photos covering up all the pretty paper.  Sometimes it seems like my priorities are a little skewed in what is most important on the page, LOL!  I'll just have to reconcile myself to never being caught up so when I retire 30 years from now I'll still have plenty of photos to scrap.

Now with all that being said when I do complete a page with lots of photos I'm quite proud of myself, especially when I really like the page too :)  I created this page using Fancy Pants Childish Things of my daughter at her dance class Halloween party 2 years ago.

Scrap Lift Mondays

Every Monday on the My Scraps & More message board we usually post a  lift challenge. This month I choose to lift one of our own design team member, Wendi. I love her work and she is a sweetheart!
For my lift, I used Echo Park Hello Summer Collection along with some of the Country Drive,  I added a few words (silly & fun) of the Ephemera pack Portfolio Collection from Pink Paislee:

The Hello Summer collection is on clearance right now in the store and while you are there, check out the new Echo Park Collections Tammi just got in, they are amazing!

If you are looking for daily challenges to play with, stop over on the message board and have some fun!

A Sketch Three Ways

Hello and good morning...

Earlier this month during the Love Is In The Air forum crop, we had two fast sketch challenges. The challenge is to scrap the sketch provided in one hour and then you have 15 minutes to upload it into the gallery and post it for a prize.

This is the sketch that I provided for the Saturday night challenge:
Here is the original page that I created, and then created the sketch from the layout:
Next I made another page with the sketch, flipping certain features of the sketch:
And to make the sketch work just a little bit more, I created this card with it:
Both the pages and the card were created with the MME's Collectable collection from Tammi's store that you can find HERE... I can't express how much I LOVE this line!!! I have literally used it ALL up!!!! And I think I may need some more... So make your sketches work for you!!!

Have a wonderful day.

Fun with MME Collectible

Hey there, scrappy friends!  Missy here with you today to share a page I created using the new My Mind's Eye Collectible line.  The colors in the Notable range are just gorgeous!  Aquas, yellows, oranges...they are just so beautiful.

This page is also up on the boards today for inspiration for today's {color} challenge.  You should check it out and come play with us!

I added a bit of modeling paste using one of my oldest journaling templates.  I don't think I've ever even used it for journaling, but it sure makes a cool effect with those lines!

Check out the store HERE to get your hands on some of this MME collection...it does not disappoint!  Use the current discount code and get 20% off your purchase!  Woo hoo!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Time for Spring!

No, I didn't finish scrapping my winter photos yet.  But a whole bunch of new releases just came out, and I was itching to use them on some spring and summer photos!

I just love the colors of the new Studio Calico "Sundrifter" collection!!!  I can totally see myself using these papers for lots of spring and summer pages! I used some of the softer colors to create an Easter themed page:

The background paper is from an older Studio Calico line, and I gave it a white wash with Gesso.  I then used some modeling paste and a flower stencil to add some subtle textured flowers to the background.

Then is was just layering stickers, papers, and cut outs, and a few wood veneers here and there.

I used today's sketch from the My Scraps & More sketch blog as the basis for my design.

Are you getting Spring fever yet?  :)

Valentine cards galore!!

Tracy here to give you my solution to the mountain of kids Valentines cards.  What do you do with all those little cards they come home with.  Do you let them keep them, toss them after a while, save them, or scrap them.  Well a few years ago I was in the toss category.  They got to enjoy them for awhile and when the novelty wore off they went into the trash.

Then a few years ago I did a challenge that wanted you to do a page without photos and we still happened to have the stack of my sons Valentines cards so I created a page of Valentines cards.  I loved it so much I started doing this every year with the cards they bring home.  I think it will be interesting to see down the road what characters were popular during that year.  This year I'm really on top of things and I've already scrapped both of my little ones Valentines cards so I could share them with you.  I used Crate Papers Fourteen collection to accent the cards.

MME's Boy Crazy Pages

Hello and good morning.

It's Wendi here and I'm sharing with you a couple of layouts that I created using the MME's Boy Crazy collection. With having both a boy and girls, there always seems to be no shortage of girlie papers and embellies, so I'm always SUPER excited when fun boy lines come out!!!

The colors in this line are really playful and yet rich at the same time.
I pulled out an older photo of my son and his cousins for this page:
The sticker sheet has some fun element about it, like the BIG arrows:
and Tags sheet is perfect to use for titles or for cutting up:
I LOVE that the patterns on this page are perfect for all different boy ages, its got a little something for everyone.
My second page, I couldn't resist this scrapping this photo of my son eating ice cream, his face just cracks me up:
I used some of the October Afternoon Market alphas, which are some of my most favorite mini alphas:
And I fussy cut out some of the gears and added some enamel dots to dress them up:
So check out the MME's Boy Crazy line in Tammi's store....

Have a wonderful day

Two more CROP days!

Hey, scrappy friends!  Missy here to remind you about the Love is in the Air Crop here on our boards...you still have today and tomorrow to play along with us!  The Crop ends Sunday at midnight.  I want to share one of my challenges & pages with you on this fine Saturday!

This page was created for the "Hot Date" Challenge, which involves using a photo of you and a significant other either on a date, getting ready to go on a date, an anniversary photo...or it can be of another couple.  Just some kind of "date" photo.  This is my husband and me last year about to leave for a nice auction/dinner fundraiser for our daughters' school.

I used mostly the Secret Crush papers from Pink Paislee (all except the blue Bo Bunny background).  I LOVE the pinks, greys & blacks in this line...so perfect for lovey-type pages!

If you would like to get your hands on this collection, it's available HERE in the My Scraps store, along with a TON of new CHA goodies!  Tammi has gotten in SO many new things!  Check it out!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Missy :)

He's 18 Months! New MME....

As soon as the new My Mind's Eye collections hit the store, I loaded up my cart!  This page is a mix of Boy Crazy and Collectable collections.

I used a large photo and just added a few strips of paper here and there.

To add some dimension, I fussy cut out the grey stars from the patterned paper and pop-dotted them off the page in some areas.

A few buttons and epoxy dot stickers, and that's it!

There are SOOO many wonderful papers and embellies in the new MME release!  You must go check them out!

Oh and don't forget you have a few more days to get your crop challenges in on the Message Board for the Love Is In the Air Valentine's CROP!

Is Love in the Air?

Happy Valentines day!!!!

If you haven't been over to the forum then you are missing out on lot's of fun challenges with our Love Is In the Air Crop.  There is still plenty of time to come and play along.  I thought I would share with you the first challenge I was able to complete which was one I really needed to complete since it was to make a Valentines card for someone and I was slacking and hadn't made one for my sweet hubby yet :)  So I got right on that.

This second card I made for a wedding shower for a lady I work with.  Both of these cards I used Crate Papers Fourteen collection, but as you see I was able to get a very masculine card as well as a very feminine card out of it.

Love Is In the Air Challenges

Hello and good morning...

Right now the My Scraps Love Is In the Air Crop is in full swing and lots of wonderful, LOVELY challenges to choose from to keep your scrappy mojo flowing.

I am sharing two of the layout examples that I have for the challenges I came up with. Both of these pages are using the newest MME Collectable Collection.

The first one challenge is to use those Valentine Conversation Hearts as your title on your layout.
I used BE MINE for my title and placed it on a heart:
I used some of the cute decorative stickers and enamel dots through out my layout:

My second challenge is to focus on someone or something that you love, and then journal at least 3 sentences. To me sometimes I don't focus on the journaling enough, so it's a nice push to have me add my thoughts on my page. Here's my example page:
I focused on some fussy cutting of the hexagons and arrows from the patterned paper:
I also cut apart one of the story journaling cards to create my title:
So if you haven't already, check out Tammi's store for the MME's Collectable collection before it's gone... and don't forget to check out the other crop challenges.

Have a wonderful day.
