Interactive Pages for the Win!

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a page I made to highlight a bunch of snapchat and instagram photos of my daughter's recent trip to Kentucky.  Because the photos were not of very high quality, I chose to keep them small and make little accordian flip books on the layout. I used Simple Stories papers and Crate Journey and Open Road embellishments for the layout.

All of the photos you see here have more underneath...the large one at the top flips up with the license plate sticker with more photos and journaling.  The three photos on the bottom actually hold about 20 more photos in flip out form.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Smitten

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created about my love for the PSL.  Pumpkin Spice Latte.  I am all about pumpkin, and it doesn't matter to me if the drink is hot or cold...it's just so YUMMY!  On this particular day I had both, hot and cold! (The barista was sharing mini PSL Frapps)

I used the Photo Play Paper Autumn Day Collection and a Gold Thicker word I've been hoarding for the layout.  Love that I had a chance to use this paper again and document my love for PSL!!

Be Super!

I love Halloween...it's a chance to let your alter ego take over and just shine...and I love to see what my girls choose to be for Halloween.  My middle daughter chose to be Super Girl this year and I just love that she did.  Moving to Nevada, 515 miles away from home, to go to college was a HUGE step for her and she's been handling it with flying colors!  Super girl she is!!!  I created this layout for the Monday Mix it Up Challenge in the forum.  I used the Crate Paper After Dark line and the layout just flew together~

A close up peek at some of the embellishments...

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Go be your SUPER self!!

Black Out Babes

Hi there, Lisa S here today to share a layout I created using the oh so pretty, Hello Lovely, Cocoa Vanilla collection.  My daughter and her friends were attending a Black Out party and took this photo of them with their "cool" faces on...I just thought they looked so pretty!!

I love using the 3 x 4 cards on layouts...they sure make for a clean look!  And those wood grain alpha stickers?? Swoon!!!  The Flair?  Oh man, I sort of wanted to hoard this one...how cute is it?? And the bows?  Well, if you bought this line and are hoarding it, now's the time to use it!!!

Hope to see you sharing your layouts with Cocoa Vanilla!!

{heart} YOU with Chickaniddy

Hi there, Lisa S here today to share a layout I created using the Chickaniddy 365 6 x 6 paper pad.  I used one sheet of 12 x 12 for my background, but the rest of the papers are from the pad.  I used one cut nearly in half for the triangle at the top left.  I used the papers to back the frames, for the die cut leaves, feather and title and punched butterflies.  I also fussy cut some little roses for a little more dimension.

Heart You

Here's a close up of one of the frames.  I also used the really cute 365 Enamel Words for this little cluster.

FullSizeRender (4)-003

So many easy ways to use these great 6 x 6 pads..and you get so much bang for your buck since you get all the papers in the line for under $6. :)

You and Me

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created with a mash up of Crate Paper and Pink Paislee...these lines work so well together! Check it out...

The Craft Market by Crate paper and the Pink Paislee floral paper (I fussy cut all of the flowers from this paper) along with the cute puffy stickers worked so well together!

How cute are these cork bows?  They are sold out so I'm sure many of you got them..they are such a perfect accent.  Also, I used a gold Wink of Stella pen to add touches of gold to the fussy cut flowers...it's such a pretty little glimmer in real life!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope to see you sharing your pages in our My Scraps and More Gallery

Creative Agenda Fun

I just love the Creative Agenda line from Echo Park Paper!  The fun bright colors and phrases make it so versatile for just about anything.  I was inspired by the sticker at the bottom left "you are my favorite work of art" to use these photos of my daughter with her slushy blue tongue!  The pushpin stickers made me think of  pinning the photos to the page so I designed it to look like I had a line of photos hung from the twine.

I cut pop dots in half to give them a little dimension.  The cell phone was fussy cut from a 3 x 4 journaling card and I added the stickers for some fun. The alphas that came in the collection kit were perfect for a multi "font" title, too :)  So much fun!

School Time!

It's back to school time!!  And you know what that means, the back to school layout!!  Today I'm here to share a layout I created using the VERY cute Echo Park Teacher's Pet Line.  I love that it's traditional school colors without being too young or too primary. The double sided papers made it difficult to choose a side as they were all so perfect, but I came up with this layout for my 8th grader and I just love how it turned out.

Time for school

I also tried for the first time the very yummy Evalicious Black Puffy Alpha. I bought a couple of colors initially but I can already see I need to go back for more!

Thanks for stopping by today!

It's a Perfect Day

Hi there!  Lisa here today to share I layout I created using a mash up of October Afternoon Summertime and Simple Stories Summer Vibes.  These two lines are just so much fun together...the aquas and yellows mixed with the grid design found in both lines just makes it work!

FullSizeRender (3)-003

And my new favorite product....Summer Vibes Enamel Dots!  They are so cute and add a little splash of color without getting messy! (Because some days it's just not okay to walk around with mist and paint colored fingers!  Am I right??!)
Hope you all are enjoying the last bits of summer..it's time to use up those summer lines you've been hoarding!  Be sure to share with us over in the Flickr Group!

Custom Doilies with Heidi Swapp Color Shine

Hi there, Lisa S here today to share a quick little technique to get you customizing your doilies to match any line of paper.

I love to use Doilies and have a bunch of different sizes and styles in my stash, but the thing is, they are all white.  Sometimes, it is fun to customize the doilies so that you match your paper line as I did for this quick card made from the Fancy Pants True Friend Collection and the Mint Green and Tropical Teal Mists by Heidi Swapp.  Here is where you can find all the colors of Heidi Swapp Color Shine. There are colors to match any line of paper!

To customize my Doilies, I have found it is best to not spray the Mist directly on the doily as it soaks up a ton of it and it can tear the doily just even dabbing it off.  To reduce waste and get a more interesting look, I like to spray the mists onto plastic packaging and dab the doily in it...

A quick hit with my heat gun sets it and drys it nicely and there you have a custom doily for any project!  Thanks for stopping by today!

The Ring

Hi there, Lisa S here today to share a layout I created for our Tuesday Trigger Challenge over in the FORUM.   One of our triggers this month is celebrations so I'm sharing this page I made about my daughter's Bat Mitzvah ring.  It's a family tradition that each child gets a ring for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah from their Great Aunts and Uncles, so I had to mark this milestone with a layout. I used Crate Paper Journey Collection mashed up with some Confetti for this layout. I LOVE these  sticker letters!!
Your challenge for this trigger is to use alphabet stickers and GOLD on your layout!!  Hope to see you sharing some of your celebrations, too!

So Bittersweet

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a bittersweet moment.  Sometimes, in an effort to be genuine as we tell our lives stories, we have to share the not so happy moments.  For the most part, our scrapbooks are filled with the highlights of our lives...but there are moments worth remembering, especially when they are part of a bigger story, but explain so much.  In this layout I created for my middle daughter, I used a screenshot of her snapchat story to remember the big moment she realized that it would be the last time she was on this stage that she had performed on for 15 years of her life.

The Maggie Holmes Confetti Collection is filled with little tickets of all kinds and I fussy cut them and some film strips to build this layout.  The flowers, which reminded me of the flowers we have given her after every perfomance were cut from an older piece of Crate paper as well.  I tucked a journaling card with her story (also from that same piece of paper from the Confetti collection) into a glassine bag behind the photo as this was a very emotional moment for her and I didn't feel the journaling belonged front and center.  I hope you'll take the time to scrap the bittersweet moments, too.  It helps not only to process the emotions surrounding those events but keeps our stories real.

Hello Lovely

The new Cocoa Vanilla "Hello Lovely" line is my new most favorite line...the colors are girly without being super "pink" and I just love all the bits and bobs.  For this page I used Confetti Paper- the B side (so hard to choose what side to use with this line!) and Flower Patch Paper for the base of the layout and some fussy cut flowers from Glimmer Paper for the base of the layout.  But my favorite part is this line comes with matching FLOWERS!!! The Flowers, Oh my gosh..they are so pretty!!!!  You almost never see flowers with lines anymore and my stash is sadly depleted so I was super happy to have them!!!  And did I mention there is also Flair? Yep.  and so many other goodies...just check it all out here: http://www.myscrapsandmore.com/cocoa-vanilla-hello-lovely/ I did save some for everyone...but you better hurry!!

U & Me

Hi there, Lisa S here today to share a page I created with my *last* piece of Simple Stories I Am...I think I need to restock as I still have lots of embellies (oh how I love the Chipboard Frames)...I know many of you bought this line (we all loved it so much!) so here's a little fresh inspiration for the collection...

Like I said, I only had the one piece of paper so I had to be creative.  I used one piece of paper, two border stickers and 2 journaling cards as the base of this layout.  I cut another journaling card into the flag shape for a little journaling and cut the flower you see below my photo from another of the journaling cards.  Stickers and chipboard round it out for a fast and easy page highlighting a quick snapshot I took with my daughter this past Sunday.  Hop on over to our Throwback Thursday board for the challenge with this layout!

Daddy's Girl

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created for our Tuesday Trigger Challenge in the forums.  The challenge for June is to use Dads, Yellow and/or Sunshine on your page.  I used a sunshiney collection, the Simple Stories Summer Vibes Collection to create a page about my youngest daughter and her daddy.  Yellow embellies just finished it off...

I just loved working with the Summer Vibes collection.  It's definitely versatile and doesn't need to be used JUST for summer photos.  The collection kit is an amazing value, too...Kit HERE.  It comes with one of each of the papers and stickers, including alphas and can be used for traditional or pocket scrapbook pages. And as an enabler alert, the Recollections flowers from Michaels are the perfect shade of mint and yellow for the collection.  :)  Hope to see you linking us up with this month's challenge.  We love to see your work!

_____________________________________________________________________

It's my turn on the blog today and I'm sharing a layout I created with Nick's, Fancy Floral Cut File.  I chose to cut it up so that I could use it on multiple parts of my layout. It is cut out of textured cardstock and misted with Cherry and Gold Heidi Swapp mists.

The effect in real life is so glimmery and pretty!  I paired this with papers and embellishments from the Crate Paper Poolside Collection. The background paper is the adorable Studio Calico Baxter pink dot paper. As you can see the pink dots are much more mellow than the preview led me to believe...they are a lovely deep fuschia color...almost red. Perfect for a Disney page!

Here you can see one of the flowers....

And a corner of the cut file that has several flowers...

Thank you so much for stopping by today and hope you are enjoying our Collaboration!
