Fall.

Hello and good morning...

One thing I am totally ready for it fall!!!! I LOVE pumpkin goodies, I love Halloween, the cooler temps, wearing hoodies and jeans. I love that crisp air and the leaves changing. I really love everything about the season. I was so excited to see the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather collection, I knew it was perfect for those fall photos I had.

This photo is from two years ago when we were up in Utah, which has a gorgeous fall season, and we took them at our favorite creek for photo taking.

I used the Blustery paper for the cute tag to add onto the page:

And I also fussy cut out the SMILE sentiment from the same paper and added it on to the page as an embellie:

And then I couldn't resist the cute apples on the Gusty paper and fussy cut those out to add:

Now if  this line doesn't get you pumped up for fall.. then I have no idea what will!!! LOL!!!

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great fall day!!!!

Las Vegas High Roller / Using up stash...

Hey, friends!  Happy Weekend...woo hoo! Missy here.  Do you have any papers or collections that you love, but you just haven't found the right photo to use with it?  I've had the Everyday Eclectic line from Echo Park since it came out, and I've used it a few times.  But I never had the right photo to use for this awesome background paper.  It's all about the fair, and I haven't been to a fair in ages.  My husband and I have made a few quick long weekend trips to Vegas this year, and I just had to go and see this new High Roller in person.  It's not a fair, but it's a giant ferris wheel with pods that hold up to 40 people in each one!  We didn't ride it, but it looks really cool, and I love how my picture turned out!  This paper was just right for it :)

I created this layout a few weeks ago for a My Scraps "Throwback" challenge to use a collection at least two years old and to hand draw something.  I started by adding gesso to the background, and then I used some of the gorgeous blue Dylusions ink and a brush to make some large sketchy circles.  I didn't want them perfect.  Then I drew over that with a black pen.  It was a great way to tie in more of the blue color from my photo.

What's a page about Las Vegas without some form of glitter, right?  Love these silver glitter Thickers!  Here you can see some of the ink close up.  I just love getting messy :)

I used a lot of the stickers in this collection, and I did add a lot of pop dots for dimension.  That "best day ever" is a stamp on vellum that I cut out, and the "see" flair pin is from Studio Calico.

More stickers, layers and vellum stamping.  I highly recommend stamping on vellum...it not only looks cool, but it allows you to put it wherever you want it without having to actually stamp onto the background paper.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Missy :)

Her

I don't think I will ever tire of this Fancy Pants Me-ology line.I love the contrast with the bold colors and black.  Here is my baby girl on her 6th birthday. I wish I could spend my birthdays at the beach :)

The embellishments that come with the collection are so fun to work with.

Sweet & Fresh

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!
Lisa here today to share a layout I created using Studio Calico South of the Market collection.
I used a photo of my daughter and hubby after they had picked blueberries from our garden:

Here are a few close ups:

I fussy cut the mason jar out of one of their patterned papers and added  some twine and a few stick pins. I also added the wood veneer "Grow". I used some old Tim Holtz Grunge alphas and painted them blue to mimic the color of blueberries:

The & sign is from is from Dear Lizzie. I also fussy cut the words sweet and fresh out of patterned paper:

This is such a fun collection and I have more ideas in mind for it.

Enjoy your day!

My Girl.

Hello and good morning....

I was working on my project life 2012 album... yes I am still working on it!!! And I came across this photo of my lil one and pulled it out because I just couldn't resist scrapping it. I have totally and completely fallen in love with the Fancy Pants True Friend collection.... seriously, it makes me sooo happy to look at it!!! I love the color palette and pattern mix!! It screams fall, but works on anything!!! The second I received my package I opened it right up and dove into it...

The line actually has several cute lil critters on it, which makes me smile.

The Ephemera Packs have become my FAVE embellie packs lately, it's full of lots of bits and pieces to add to your projects!!

My other hobby....

I was so honored to be the guest designer for American Crafts last week for their "30 minutes or less theme".  It was a challenge, but I got er' done!

I created this page about my other obsession hobby....quilting.  The patterns and colors of modern fabrics remind me so much of the trends you see on scrapbook papers today!

I wanted to mimic a quilt design, so I chose a really simple quilt star pattern and recreated it with squares and triangle punched from papers from the Shimelle collection for AC.

The I machine stitched over the top with "free motion" stitching.  I love this stitching technique!  Then I just added a few stickers here and there!  Easy Peasy!
