scrap{lift} + giveaway Monday!!

This week it is my turn to do the scrap{lift} challange on the message board. Lifting is one of my favorite challenges to do because it gives me the chance to "copy" some of the great work that is posted into our gallery! For this challenge, I lifted a layout by jguymon. I followed the same design, just made my area a little smaller. The "Country Drive" papers from echo park worked so well with the picture I used of me and my husband. And the pic is not great, but it has a lot of good memories behind it so I just had to scrap it!! Thanks so much to jguymon for the great inspiration!

Design Team Reveal: echo park's "Victoria's Garden"

Each month, here on the My Scraps & More blog, we will have a design team reveal showcasing a product line that we carry in the store. For this reveal, I sent the design girls the Victoria's Garden collection from echo park! echo park has rapidly become a fan favorite both at My Scraps and in the scrapbook world in general. They were voted in the" Top 10 must have's" from Summer CHA. I hope that our layouts inspire you to look at this collection more closely and create some projects of your own!

Wednesday Spotlight on "Out of Print"

For this week's product spotlight, I am choosing to shine the light on the "Out of Print" collection by Basic Grey. At first glance, I loved the colors of this line but wasn't really sure if it was going to be my favorite papers to play with. Now that I have, I can't wait to dig in and play with more! I really liked how all of the patterns flowed so nicely when I started piecing my page together. For this layout I used the following papers: daily news, bits n pieces, newsflash, mish mash, and chip sticker shapes. (notice anything missing from my layout? A !title! I am stumped and would love for you to leave a comment with your ideas!)

If you have created with this paper line, please share a link to it here! I always love Basic Grey but I am not always sure how to create with it. This time, I have to say, I really like the end result!!

Gallery Highlights of the Week!

I am always amazed each time I visit the gallery and see all of the beautiful layouts that our members have shared. scrap{lift}, New Arrivals and giveaway Monday!!

I finally made it to my scrap desk to play, after our short little getaway to New York City last week (more about that later). I used some October Afternoon 5 & dime products and created a layout for the scrap{lift} challenge posted today. I get inspired by a "lift" just like I do a sketch, and use their page as a guide to create something of my own. Today our design team member. Lisa, lifted this page by member "pictures2pages"
