New Weekly Blog Sketch Challenge on Thursdays!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to our first Blog Sketch Thursday challenge! Starting today and every Thursday thereafter, we will post a sketch challenge. All of those who play along will be entered into a random drawing to win some great prizes! So whats not to love about this...

sketches ( we all love to be inspired by them) and prizes (who doesn't love to win some free stuff?!) is a win/win in my book! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to play but because of postage rates, I ask that international winners be willing to pay any postage over $5.00 for prizes they may win. Wednesday Spotlight on "Out of Print"

For this week's product spotlight, I am choosing to shine the light on the "Out of Print" collection by Basic Grey. At first glance, I loved the colors of this line but wasn't really sure if it was going to be my favorite papers to play with. Now that I have, I can't wait to dig in and play with more! I really liked how all of the patterns flowed so nicely when I started piecing my page together. For this layout I used the following papers: daily news, bits n pieces, newsflash, mish mash, and chip sticker shapes. (notice anything missing from my layout? A !title! I am stumped and would love for you to leave a comment with your ideas!)

If you have created with this paper line, please share a link to it here! I always love Basic Grey but I am not always sure how to create with it. This time, I have to say, I really like the end result!!

Gallery Highlights of the Week!

I am always amazed each time I visit the gallery and see all of the beautiful layouts that our members have shared. If you are ever in need of some inspiration, that is definitely the place to look for it! scrap{lift}, New Arrivals and giveaway Monday!!

I finally made it to my scrap desk to play, after our short little getaway to New York City last week (more about that later). I used some October Afternoon 5 & dime products and created a layout for the scrap{lift} challenge posted today. I get inspired by a "lift" just like I do a sketch, and use their page as a guide to create something of my own. Today our design team member. Lisa, lifted this page by member "pictures2pages"

Gallery Highlights!!

I know summer is a busy time for many of us and if you are like me, my scrapbook time is few and far between when the kids are home. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the summer with no school, no schedule, no where to be, but I am also looking forward to getting my "me" time back as well! Even with all of the busy summertime activities, there has still been some a-maz-ing layouts posted to the My Scraps gallery. Favorites from CHA! (and a winner!!)

There were so many great items introduced at CHA! Like so many, I wish that I could have been there in Chicago to see it all in person but the beach was calling my name at the same time, and guess who won! Ha! Ha! All of my favorite companies managed to WOW me with their new releases! I am really looking forward to playing with some Crate Paper, Bella Blvd, echo park, Bo Bunny, Fancy Pants...all of them!!!
