Hello Cutie Buns!

Hey scrappy friends!  Missy here.  I have another layout to share with you today.  This one was created for a challenge I hosted on our forums, which was to TEAR SOMETHING.  I almost always tear my paper layers and washi tapes.  I just like the uneven look tearing gives.  It's so weird that I like tearing because I'm so detail oriented and want everything just perfect.  You'd think I'd want all the edges just perfectly cut, but I really like the uneven look!  It's my Jekyl and Hyde personalities of scrapping...haha!

Anyway, I used mostly the Brighton Pier line from Studio Calico for this.  I really love this sunburst paper and decided to only use a piece of it.  I used some other papers for my layers.  I added tapes from my own stash, as well as cord, rhinestones and buttons.  That wooden "hello" is also SC...isn't it SOOOO cute?!

I used some gesso and watercolors on my background.  I wanted it subtle and light, and I think I achieved that pretty well.  I didn't want the background to compete with that sunburst paper, but I didn't want to leave it stark white, either.

Here you can see the benefits of layers.  It makes it very easy to tuck things underneath.  I also like to crinkle up my layers...that makes it even more dimensional.

I have a secret about this striped washi tape....I got it from the Dollar Tree!  It was a year or so ago, but I found it there.  It's really cheap, but the color is fabulous.  You can see that it doesn't stick really well, but I actually like that it doesn't.  It makes the torn edges stand up and gives it more texture.  I have to add some adhesive to make it stick, but I still love it.

See how it curls up?  I like the effect of that.  This cute stamp is a new one I found at Michael's by Heidi Swapp.  I love that you can fill in the blank!

Thank you so much for always stopping by to visit!  I love sharing my projects with you.  I hope you are somehow inspired to tear something...it's a lot of fun!

Have a great weekend!

Crate Paper Notes and Things

I'm going to start off by admitting I really wasn't sure about this line when I ordered it.  I will then add the pictures do not do this line justice. It is such a fun line to work with and I just love the butterflies! Here is what I created using Crate Paper Notes and Things.

Who would have thought how much I would have enjoyed playing with the gold.  I'm normally not a gold fan.  I guess it has grown on me!

Happy Moments

Happy hump day!
Lisa here with you to share a layout I created for the challenge over on the forum today.
I used Crate Paper Notes & Things for this layout of my niece and I:

Here are some close ups:

I loved the note card and had to include it on my page.
I fussy cut some of the triangles and used pop dots for dimension:

I added a few rub-ons and a frame painted with watercolor:

How cute is that tag and butterfly?

Hope you will stop over to the forum, check out my challenge and play along.

Be Passionately Curious.

Hello and good morning....

One thing I have really been into is scrapping my Instagram photos, which happens to be my favorite size to scrap lately- 4x4 photos. These are a few of my lil one, just random pictures.

I used the American Crafts Shimelle line.... ohhhh I am completely loving it!!! really I am. The colors and fun patterns have been super easy to work with.

How cute is the cupcake sticker embellie???  My page is not food related at all, but I couldn't resist adding it on.

I choose to use one of the sticker embellies as my title, I really loved the saying.

I couldn't resist cutting the shapes from the Harding paper and then added the squares through the center. Then adding a bit of random stitching and some enamel dots.

In case you haven't looked at the AC Shimelle line, head on over to the store and check it out here, there are a TON of the embellies with the line too.

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!

August Ticket winner and Halloween...

Good MORNING!  Happy Monday!

I'm sharing a page today that I created with some Shimelle papers and a some from Brighton Pier.  I was inspired by the hexagon alphas, so I decided to use hexagons as the major design on my page.

In addition to cutting out some large hexagons using my Cameo, I also traced some with a black pen to create a place to journal.

The alphas I altered a bit by inking them with some light blue ink.

It's Rough Being 2 / October Afternoon

Oh, the days of little toddler temper tantrums!  Haha!  I hope you all are doing well today....it's Missy here with you.  My sweet Paige is now five, but in these photos she was only two.  And in her defense, we were stuck and stranded waiting on her pediatrician in those tiny little doctor rooms.  We waited and waited and waited...so naturally she got antsy.  Of course a whiny fit was bound to happen.  I almost had one myself...haha!  What to do when this happens?  Break out the camera and snap away, of course :D

This was a layout I made just for fun.  I really wanted to use the October Afternoon sheet with all these cute speech bubbles, so I fussy cut a lot of them out.  They seemed to go perfectly with her facial expressions :)

I used some Sweet Cherry Heidi Swapp Color Shine and my own Mister Huey's Water Coolor and Gold Color Shine to make my messy background.  I'm really loving squirting the color onto plastic packaging and then using that to press it onto the paper.  I added splatters, too.

I love these speech bubbles!  I used pop dots on a few to really create a fun layered & dimensional look.

I mixed up my alphas using Thickers and little Lily Bee stickers.  I did add in my own washi tape in several places.  I think I used four different tapes!

I just love these little stamps from Simple Stories. They work on any type of layout!

I hope this gives you some inspiration to create something awesome this weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I Wish For More!

Fancy Pants As You Wish collection has to be one of my favorites that has come out this year.  The colors are so fun and bold.  It may have a bit to do with my addiction to all things in the teal/turquoise category.  I've always been told that is my color :)

Oh, this makes me long to be back in Florida instead of back into the grind of school and work!
