Gallery Highlights!!

I know summer is a busy time for many of us and if you are like me, my scrapbook time is few and far between when the kids are home. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the summer with no school, no schedule, no where to be, but I am also looking forward to getting my "me" time back as well! Even with all of the busy summertime activities, there has still been some a-maz-ing layouts posted to the My Scraps gallery. Favorites from CHA! (and a winner!!)

There were so many great items introduced at CHA! Like so many, I wish that I could have been there in Chicago to see it all in person but the beach was calling my name at the same time, and guess who won! Ha! Ha! All of my favorite companies managed to WOW me with their new releases! I am really looking forward to playing with some Crate Paper, Bella Blvd, echo park, Bo Bunny, Fancy Pants...all of them!!! I got a few samples of these new papers and would love to share them with you! A "win it before you can buy it" kind of thing. Gotta love that, right?! Scrap{sketch} and the last "Got Talent" challenge

This week it was design team member, Rachelle's, turn to create a sketch and layout for our weekly sketch challenge and what a great job she did!! I love how she made her sketch into a 2 page layout, something I need to do more of!! FYI: the weekly sketch challenge will go back to being posted on Friday's starting next week.

Today the last challenge will be issued in our "My Scraps Got Talent" contest. We have had a great summer completing the many different challenges the team members have given us, with many ladies participating! A special "thank you" to the design team members for all of their hard work AND to all of those who have played along with us this summer!! It has been such fun being inspired by your creations weekly!! Look for the "Got Talent" winner to be announced next weekend!!

This is the quote that I used for the scrap{quote} challenge. I saw it on the die cut page of the Dutch Mustard soup collection from Jillibean Soup and immediately wanted to scrap a picture of my husband and I using it!! The photo is not a good one, we were outside doing yard work when my daughter snapped it, but I think it still shows the love we have for each other!!

Design Team Call!

My Scraps & More is in search of 2 new design team members! The term will be from September - December 2011. We are looking for fun, friendly ladies who have a passion for scrapbooking just like us! Newsletter, catch up and More!

So much has been happening here at My Scraps & More! Let's start with the this...a newsletter! One of our very talented members, Lisa Mettman, offered to start a monthly newsletter. The first one is out and it is fabulous!! Please take the time to view it here. Special thanks to Lisa for all of her time and talent putting this together for us!!

This week in the My Scraps Got Talent contest is make up week!! You are able to go back and complete any or all of the challenges that you missed and post them in the gallery and message board to receive your points! I lookforward to seeing all of the great layouts being posted this week!!

I will leave you with a layout I created for the mini challenge this week for the Got Talent challenge. The challenge was to make a layout using the bingo card supplied. I always love this type of challenge and I hope that you challenge yourself and do it too!
