So Glad We're Friends!

Hey there, My Scraps friends!  Missy here with you on this relaxing Saturday to share a page with you :)  I've had this gorgeous Carta Bella Hello Again line for a while, and I finally had time to break it open...and I'm SO glad I did!  I had to sit and stare at it a while before I started cutting.  It's THAT beautiful!  My favorite paper would have to be the pink/orange ombre one...I used a piece of it at the very top and then as a backing behind the word "friends."

I used my Cameo to cut the word "friends" out of my background sheet, and then I built my photo cluster around that.  I had some perfectly matched buttons in my stash, so I pulled a few out.

I love the elements on the sticker sheet...especially these little people holding hands!  I added a piece of embossed vellum that I had laying around on my desk from another project.

I love adding cord to my pages these days...it's just something fun to add at the end, and I like that it's kind of messy looking.

Can I get a LIFT? *REVEAL*

Back at the end of June we started the "Can I Get A Lift?" game.  I chose a page from the gallery to scraplift, and then sent my page on to the next person in line, and so on and so on.  Each person only saw the person before her, so today we get to see ALL the pages and how the progressed and changed over time!

More and More Chevrons

I believe I already raved about how much much I love Bella Blvd's new Daily Chevies line.  I thought it would be time to show off those chevrons now.  When I got this paper I would have never thought it would work so well for Easter photos, but the colors were perfect with Austin's clothes and his surroundings.

Love You Forever and You're So Sweet

Hello and good morning..

Today I a sharing two pages that I made using Echo Park's Here and Now Collection.  I am still totally drawn to the bold, bright and fun colors as well as the playful patterns. I really can NOT get enough of it.

This first page is of me and my lil one while we were at the pool swimming earlier this summer.

I just love the fun cameras from the border strips, so I fussy cut out one to add it to the page:

This second page is of my oldest daughter, the photo was taken right after her 4th grade play. I was sooo proud of her and realized how grown up she was starting to look.

I cut out several paper strips, used some of the border strips along with some of the sticker border strips from the sticker elements and also some washi tape in there. I just mixed it all up:

Member of Month

We have such a great group of ladies who join us over on the message board.  We chat about our lives and our love of scrapbooking as well as inspire each other with our creations.  We decided we needed to start showcasing some of these fabulous members.  We are are going to start each month honoring one of our special message board ladies as our member of the month.  You will get to know them a little better, see some of their fabulous work, and just for being our member of the month they will get an extra draw for the end of the month main prize.

The first fabulous lady we have chosen as member of the month is long time member Brenda!  

Here is a bit about Brenda.

I live in SW Ohio, in a semi-small town about 25 miles from Cincinnati. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 38 years and we have two grown children and two grandchildren. I work full time as a sales analyst so most of my scrappy time comes around on the weekends.

About 16 years ago I was watching "Craft Day" on QVC, when I saw a Creating Keepsakes segment with Lisa Bearnson. Since I've always been the family shutterbug, scrapbooking just seemed like the perfect hobby for me, so I ordered a couple of things, picked up a few scrapping magazines and got started. I had no idea how this hobby would evolve and lead into stamping, cardmaking, mixed media and accumulating a ton of scrappy supplies along the way, LOL!

My scrappy style tends toward the clean and simple, with a preference for multi-photo pages. Some of my favorite items to use on a page are buttons, twine, stitching and stamping. I like to try new techniques, and really enjoy all the challenges on My Scraps & More because they encourage me to get out of my comfort zone a little.
