Colorado is one of my favorite places. I'm not sure I could handle the cold to live there all the time but the scenery is absolutely stunning. I was constantly stopping my kids for pictures in front of the mountains when we visited Durango a few years ago. The Fancy Pants Timbergrove line was perfect for these mountain photos.
The line comes with the chevron paper but to me just laying it as is wouldn't work. I cut each of the chevron strips apart and distressed the edges to give them dimension.
It seemed a little bare so I then added the snowflake brads and accented the rest of the paper using one of the brads as a stamp dipped in gesso to make the rest of the snowflakes.

Very pretty. I like how the dark green color makes everything else pop!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful layout! I love the snowflake buttons and also how you dipped the snowflake brads in paint to add to the background. So clever! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving me some love. Blessings~ Birgit

ReplyDeleteAwesome job, Tracy! I love the beauty in Colorado too. My ex-sister in law lives there on a small ranch just outside Boulder. They are usually the first to get the big snowstorms of the season.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did to the paper!
