Hello...My Name is Adorable :)

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Missy here today to share a layout I created using The Sweetest Thing collection from My Mind's Eye...one of my favorite lines!  The colors in these papers are just so yummy, and the patterns are really fun.  As you know, MME's lines have plenty for girl and boy pages.  I used the Tangerine line, which is full of soft teals, yellows, reds and greys.

I love the embellishments that coordinate with this line.  The chipboard buttons and the butterflies add the perfect touch.  I added some floss & some rhinestones, but everything else is MME--even that flowery washi tape!

You can get the entire line and MORE from the store HERE.  Order today because it's the last day to get 25% off!!  Keep checking back because new lines keep on comin'...you don't want to miss anything!!  You know you need it  :)

Have a GREAT day!

Do you ever buy a whole line and just find you can use it over and over again????   I did that with the MME Indie Chic collection.  The colors are patterns are so versatile, that I have been able to use them for lots of different themes!

Here, I took a bit of a "vintage" approach and used an old doily my grandma made and an old photo as well.  Some of the patterns have an old feeling (almost like old tapestries or draperies), yet others have a more modern feel, like chevron and other geometric shapes. I love combining patterns like this!

I bet you have some of this in your stash, don't you?  You should use it up!  If not, you should BUY SOME!  :)

A Little Bit Country

Good Thursday morning to you!!! Are you happy that we are on the downhill slide to the weekend.  I know I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend filled with lot's of scrapping.  I know last week you got to see quite of a bit of the Fancy Pants collection Country Boutique but I still had it on my desk and it just fit so well with all the pictures from our New Mexico trip that I had to dig in to it again.  I went the girly route this time around.

And look I actually journaled on a LO, that seems to be a rare thing for me lately.  I really need to get better at remembering to journal more.

PlayB@ll.....

If you are familiar with the My Scraps & More forum, you will know that there are daily challenge posted, to get your mojo and craftiness flowing..

For the 9/21 challenge of the day, it was Sketch time.
Here is the sketch that was posted to play along with for the day:
And here is my take on the sketch:
I used the Fancy Pants Little Sport collection found in the My Scraps Store HERE.
I fussy cut some of the stars from the All Star paper which are the perfect sports accent piece to add to any sports page, whether football, soccer or baseball. I couldn't resist adding the @ to my title in place of an A, just to make it a bit playful.
So I hope you will hop on over to the My Scraps Forum and play along with the daily challenges. You have till the end of the month, and a winner will get a wonderful prize from Tammi just for playing along...

Have a wonderful day,
Wendi

A Layout featuring Fancy Pants "Be You"

Good Sunday morning, everyone!  Missy here to share with you a page I created using the Be You collection from Fancy Pants.  I just love working with bright colors, and this collection has them.  There are lots of flowers, chevrons, polka dots...all kinds of fun patterns.  And I love how black is mixed in with them...it really makes those bold colors pop.

I matted this cute flower paper onto black cardstock and added some pink paint drips & splatters.  I cut out some of the flowers to put on top of the photo so I'd have some dimension.  I love when you can cut out shapes from paper and then cover it with the photo...you'd never know the paper was filled with holes!

I also added the butterfly stamps, the arrows & the dotted border.  I wanted to throw in a little more black.

I purchased this super fun collection from the My Scraps store HERE.  You can, too, and you can also get it for 20% off through September 24th!  I hope this page inspires you to scrap something amazing!

Have a great day!

Audrey's "Country Boutique" projects from Fancy Pants

I love how the neutral colors really make your photos stand out.

I really wanted to use a landscape photo with these papers.  I thought that the blues and greens would just stand out perfectly against the browns and greys.

I took this shot of Cayuga Lake (in the Finger Lakes of NY) as I traveled there for the first time this summer back in June.  My parents have a cottage on the lake and we spend a lot of time there!

I based my page off of a sketch on the Fancy Pants blog.

This is a rather clean page for me, but I still added my bits of misting and inking, and some wrapped twine.

These are some photos of my brother and my little guy after they had gotten some buzz cuts by my hubby.

Under the chevron papers, I layered a whole bunch of banners from the banner die cut sheet, and also a mini file folder that came with the title die cuts.   I wanted to ground my photos a bit more, so I added some black circles, too.

I was holding my paintbrush a different way when splattering my paint this time, and I really like how it landed on the page.  I really want to experiment more with getting paint splatters just right!

Lastly, with the great die cut banner sheet, I just had to make an actual banner.  But because I used some on my previous layout, I only had a few left, and had to think of a creative way to put my letters on three pennants.  It was either a 3 letter word, a 6 letter word, or a 3 word phrase.  I decided on FA MI LY.

I bought this cheap frame at Wal Mart for $3.  I painted it white a few times, but I love that you can still see the pattern on it a bit. Behind the banner I simply wrapped a piece of the black patterned paper from this line with some twine and placed it in the frame, removing the glass.

I made some accordian flowers to mount my letters on, and the other pennants got some fussy cut hearts that i inked and covered with crackle paint.

The banner was a bit big for the frame, but that was totally fine by me!  I love the natural feel of this with the colors, the white washed frame, and the twine.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tracy's Reveal

Happy Thursday everyone!!  We are on the downhill slope of the week, Yay!!!  Today I'm bringing you more inspiration from the wonderful Fancy Pants Country Boutique collection.  This is one of those collections that when I saw it online I thought it was pretty but I didn't really think it was my style.  It seemed a little too soft and I generally go for bold colors for my rambunctious kids.  Then I started digging into it and WOW, I was in love.  The rustic wood tones and touches of blue just popped out and my photos of the kids in New Mexico were a perfect fit.  These in particular are from Three Rivers Petroglyphs.

I just realized that these papers that I had thought of as soft and famine, I actually created two boy pages :) I think I will get back to work with the paper I have left and create a girl page.  Make sure to check out the forum, you will probably see that girl page in today's challenge!

Country Boutique: DT Reveal

Good morning and happy Wednesday!
Lisa here with you today to do my design team reveal using the lovely line Tammi sent us this month, Country Boutique by Fancy Pants Design. Now, I have to admit, I wasn't exactly thrilled when I saw this line, I enjoy more color. I thought, I can do this and was thinking wedding photos would go perfect. So I made a wedding card and that's where it all began, I fell in love with it!

Then, I decided to go out of my box and use it for a birthday layout:

And lastly, I used it for a photo frame and added a picture of my husband and kids in front of Ray Nitschke Field, where the Packers hold training camp:

Note: See the hearts in the layout above, they were fussy cut  from the back of the white washed paper I used on my frame, I just backed the holes with another patterned paper.

I used a tutorial by my friend, Ann, for my flowers:

I am so glad you stopped by today!
Happy Scrappin'!

Wendi's Project Reveal

Good Morning..
It's my turn to share what I created with Fancy Pant's Country Boutique collection. I remember seeing the line debut for the CHA reveals and thought it was gorgeous!!! So I was utterly excited with delight when we got the opportunity to use it.

My first two layouts are baby related. I recently did a fun photo shoot with my little baby girl and thought that these papers would be perfect for the photos. I used minimal colors in the photo shoot and a few bold accents that worked perfectly with the line.

I added lots of distressing on the pages, since several of them already have the distressed look to them. I really LOVED the hearts in the line from the LOVED paper and fussy cut out several of them for my projects.
I also couldn't resist the urge to add a banner. I accented the page with some of the MME enamel dots that can also be found in the My Scraps store.

My second layout is another photo from my baby photo shoot. This time I featured the Country Bracket paper.
I added some pennants across the top from the Banner Die Cuts:
and then tore layers strips and added some machine stitching:

My next project is a banner that I made for my little sweetie's room. Since we recently moved her out of our room, and into her own, she needed some kind of decor to spice up her wall, so I created this banner for her.
I pulled from both Banner Die Cuts paper and the Die Cuts paper to add accents through out the banner:

This line is also perfect for wedding projects. I was getting ready to go to my little sister's bridal shower, and I looked at the papers left that I was working with and decided they would be wonderful to created a wedding card, and also to decorate a coordinating gift bag.

Within minutes I had the perfect touches to add to her gift, with a smidge of homemade charm:
I added pleats to the ribbon, sewed it down, and then added an accent cut on the end, to give it a finished touch:

I honestly LOVED, LOVED this line and felt like I could just keep creating with it all day!!!! Make sure to check out the My Scraps Store HERE to see all the papers and embellishments that go along with this line, you will NOT be disappointed, I promise.

Have a wonderful day,
