Member of the Month - March

Happy Saturday, My Scraps Fans!  It's March already, and that means it's time to introduce our awesome Member of the Month.  Here she is........SHERRI PRIEST!  Sherri is a very active member on our boards and creates some really amazing projects.

We asked Sherri a few questions to get to know her a little better.  Here's what she had to say:

Where are you from? 
Whitehouse Texas (East Texas between Dallas and Shreveport, La)

Tell us a little bit about your family. 
I'm married to hubby Gary for 34 years. I have two grown sons who are Eagle Scouts. Both are in college (ouch to my budget!) but am proud of them. One daughter in law. A precious granddaughter Gracie who is 3 1/2 and a grandson on the way - due March 29, 2014.

When did you first start scrapping? 
Around 2002 - made a gift album for my nephew for his high school graduation

Why do you like scrapbooking? 
I enjoy the creative process! I have always been crafty and I enjoy documenting the memories.

What are your favorite techniques?
Distressing, inking, paper tearing.

Who are your favorite manufacturers?
I really don't pay much attention to brand. although I generally like all things Basic Grey.

What are a few things we might not know about you?
I like to backpack, camp, scuba dive, run - do anything outdoors.
I have ran two half marathons.
I get car/airplane/motion sickness really bad, so I don't really do roller coasters or boat rides.
I can not smell anything - had an accident as a kid and lost my sense of smell.
We have 43 acres of land and have built our own carport, deck and now building a shop/barn.
I have been to UM Army (church mission trip) for a week each summer for the past 20 years in a row.
