Favorites, challenges and a little inspiration!

Some of my favorite companies are coming soon to My Scraps! October Afternoon "5 & dime" should be here in the next week or two! This collection looks so great! scrap{sketch} challenge 4/8/11

Thanks to the wonderful Jana Eubank for allowing use to use one of her sketches this week! We have a great one for the scrap{sketch} challenge!! I had so much fun playing with the sketch and using the Hometown Summer line from Pink Paislee...it is so stinkin' cute!! Head on over to the forum and join in on this challenge and all of the others that we have going on. I look forward to seeing you on the forums!

Design Team call!!

My Scraps & More, a brand new online store and forum, is looking for its first design team!! We are looking for three paper designers for a four month term(May 2011 - August 2011) with the possibility of extending their position.
Those interested should register on the My Scraps forum, www.myscrapsandmore.com and participate on the boards regularly so that you will become familiar with My Scraps, and also give us a chance to get to know you!
Designers will be required to participate daily on the forum, contribute ideas and example layouts for the challenges, and promote My Scraps & More on your personal blog and other places you visit where allowed. Our goal is to make My Scraps the new favorite place where scrappers will want to join, participate and feel welcome!
To apply, please submit two layouts that you have created within the last 3 months and also upload a new layout for this recipe challenge:
M…use products from your favorite Manufacturer
Y…yellow - got to have a little of the color somewhere on your layout
S…sewing - either with a machine or hand stitching, get that needle going!
C…circles – include at least one on your layout
R…ribbon – pull some out of your stash and use it here
A… All About You!
P…punch – use at least one on your page
S…style – make a layout that shows yours!
Please upload all of these layouts to the Designer Call area in the gallery so that everyone can enjoy your work!! Also, please attach the images in an email to Tammi at teajays@aol.com along with the answers to the following questions:
1) Name, address, phone, email and a short paragraph about yourself 2)Have you been on a design team before? If you are currently on one, when does your term end? (I ask that you not apply if you are currently on another design team for an online store)
3) Why do you want to be a design team member for My Scraps & More?
4)Please provide a link to your blog and other online galleries you are active in
5)What ideas do you have to help promote My Scraps & More?
6) Please give me an idea you have for a future challenge/contest that we could use at My Scraps!

For all of their hard work and devotion to My Scraps, designers will receive a bag of scraps goodies at the end of their term!!
This call is only open to US residents at this time and closes on Saturday, April 30, 2011. I hope to make the announcement of the new design team by May 4, 2011. Good luck and I look forward to meeting a lot of new faces and seeing some old ones as well!!

scrap{stash} challenge

The challenge posted for today is a stash challenge and we all know that we scrappers may have a bit of that! lol!! The challenge is to use at least 5 different patterned papers on your layout! This is a great way to use up your stash (or maybe even your scraps)! Jump over to the forum now to join in on the challenges posted there. At the end of each month, those who participated in the challenges will go into a drawing for a scrappy prize. Who knows? It could be you! So come on over and indroduce yourself on the boards.
