Facetime Fun with Simple Stories

I recently got my hands on the new Simple Stories Life Documented line, and am loving the stunning colors and fun shapes and embellishments. I jumped right in to using it on a layout for a scraplift challenge on the forum.
I started my base by using a super fun cut file on the daily lens cardstock paper. I loved how playful it looked to go with my silly photo. I wanted to use these colorful circle numbers from the bits and pieces, and chose to tuck them within some punched white cardstock.

I added more color and playfulness by placing some punched confetti, sequins and colored brands along a line beneath my photo. How awesome are those brad colors!!
I completed my layout with a few more bits and fussy cut chevrons from the its your life cardstock paper. I just love the bright and cheery feel of this line!! You can view the remainder of this line in the store HERE. I hope yall have a lovely and relaxing Sunday and come back to play along with us tomorrow for the start of our week long crop in the forum, we love playing with new scrappy friends!!

delight in life

Hello friends. Happy Super Bowl day for those that follow the sport! I am born and raised in New England, so fingers crossed for the Patriots here.
I am sharing a layout I created for this weeks word prompt on the forum. I chose to use the word "delight" , as we all know how delightful winter weather can look at times! Being new to the winter weather again, I have slim pickings for winter photos, and chose to document a set of photos from a recent trip to SeaWorld. I used a great mix of product for this layout. I LOVE mixing and matching separate paper lines.
I used a mix of Jiliibean soup, soup staples paper and American Craft Seredipity paper as my base. I loved how the were both neutral papers in slightly different tones. I wanted to keep the vibrant blues in my photos as the focal point, choosing to use more muted blues in my embellishments.
I played with a bit more seredipity paper, and old book page from my stash, and a Jillibean soup tag.

I created a fun embellishment cluster with a surrounding title using some fancy pants letters. I am obsessed with tiny letter stickers , and fancy pants are my current go to manufacturer for letters. They have so many colors released with each line, it is worth stocking up the sticker sheets alone!
I also LOVE natural elements on my layouts through cork or wood embellishments. I rounded off my layout with some cork arrow stickers from Crate paper. T.hey have so many cute shapes in that cork set.

Thanks so much for popping in between your possibly busy day. I hope I inspired you to create something fun, and we would LOVE to see your take on the challenge in the forum this week!

Embrace life's blessings

Happy Sunday friends old and new! I (Brianna) am so excited to share my first project as a new designer. There are so many awesome products in the store right now, but I just knew I had to use the new October Afternoon Public Library product to create my first layout of the year. I have always loved their product, and this line is no exception.
I created this page using my personal chosen OLW: Embrace, which I hope to remember to do on all aspects in my life this coming year. I just had to use this photo snapped of the family feet on Thanksgiving day. Using my new Cameo(eek) I created a pattern throughout my patterned paper with this scribbled circle shape, and backed it all with the amazingly fun Fancy Pants corrugated paper. I added a bit more movement with more dots from my punches, some gold paint specks, and some perfect little Brads, also from the new Public Library Line.
How great is that corrugated paper! I loved playing with it and it was a great stand out product for this layout!
I hope you like my first project of 2015,and I hope ya'll enjoy creating your first project of the new year as much as I did!
