Meeting Brother

Hello! Jennifer here today to share another layout I created using Basic Grey's Typeset collection!  I am really loving the colors of this line!

I used one of the frames in the cardstock stickers to hold my journaling as well as added additional title stickers and a cute button!

One of my favorite embellishments of this line are the cute flair badges!  You receive six in each package!

I cut pennants from my Silhouette from the different patterns then cut the ends. I adhered them in random spots on my page and then stitched though.
My title is from the cute letter stickers that come in the paper pack!  I also added another flair as well as enamel dots from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit the My Scraps and More Shop for the close out sale! I'm so sad that MSAM is ending but very grateful to have been a part of the team!
Have a great day!

Capture This Moment

Hello friends! Jennifer here to share a layout I created this week for a weekday challenge! I just received the new Basic Grey's Typeset Collection Kit in the mail from the MSAM shop and couldn't wait to create with it!  Typeset doesn't disappoint for Basic Grey fans as the prints and colors capture their traditional designs!

My title is done with white yardstick and a cut file from the Silhouette shop! This cute file is designed by Simple Stories (#60521).

The Typeset Metal Flair are absolutely adorable and perfect to accent your page!

You receive two cardstock sticker sheets in the collection pack including cute tags and buttons!  Here, I layered a few stickers as well as added another flair and enamel dots!

Showing a tag from the sticker sheet that I layered over a doily. I also added a gold paper clip to accent.

I added more of the stickers around my journaling as well as added paint splatters.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Black Friday sale going on now at the MSAM shop! Have a great day!

Hello Lovely

Hello friends! It's Saturday and that means I'm here to share another layout I created using one of the great new lines from the MSAM shop!  Today's page features Basic Grey's B-Side collection which is full of fun bright colors and patterns!  When I saw B-Side, I instantly thought of my 12 year old daughter!

I used the solid black on the B Side of "So Anyway" for my tile and a cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  The black really pops out against the bright colors!

I inserted pieces of ephemera from B-side as well as flair from my stash to accent my photo. I also layered many different patterns from the collection under my photo.

I love the bright colors of "Detour" as well as the diagonal print so I used it as my background with another cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Visit the MSAM shop for this and many more new collections! Have a wonderful day!

Cheeseheads!

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
I have to admit: I'm from Wisconsin and my family are die hard Packer fans! There is a story behind this cheese head hat my DH is wearing in the photo, but I will save that for my blog.

Any who, I used My Scraps & More Sketch #110 along with Basic Grey Prism. Let me tell you, it has been many years since I bought Basic Grey. I used to love it and then not so much. But this line has me sold once again on BG! Love it!

Besides the BG Prism, I used a variety of stickers for my words. I also used watercolors and mists on my background including Heidi Swapp Coral and Black Velvet for my spatters. I also used sketch #110 from the Sketch Blog.
Here are some close ups:
I cut the word "cheese" and some circles on my Cameo. The circles I added watercolor and used a marker for the stitching. I added some Thickers and Making Memories mini alphas to complete my title:

I also cut the thin pie charts and backed them with different patterned papers. I used Bella Blvd Enamel Doodads and some of the acetates from the Prism line:

Actually, I included the story behind this cheese head here in my journaling:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with us!

Spring has SPRUNG!!!

The snow is GONE!!!!   Woo hoo!  I can't tell you how excited I am!  :)

I've been itching to use some "summery" collections, and the Adrift collection from Basic Grey has been calling my name!

I used in on this page with some photos from our trip to the beach while we were in Florida in February.  The fog was SO THICK this day, and there was no direct sunshine...it was kind of eerie on the water!

I used a cut file from the Silhouette store for the bottom of the page and then chose some papers from the collection and arranged them from dark to light to create an ombre effect.

Then I just added a few embellies from the die cut pack and sticker sheet, plus a bit of twine.

And HOLY SMOKES I used EYELETS and BRADS!  When was the last time YOU did that?  lol.  I love using stuff from my stash!  :)

Thanksgiving FUN!

I am using up some stash of one of my favorite fall lines from last year....Basic Grey Persimmon!  I had a fun little story to share about what my kids said they were "thankful" for on Thanksgiving, and these photos were right after I had video taped them being silly saying they were thankful for their big bellies and noses....not the sentimental gratitude I was hoping for, but a fun moment to remember nonetheless!

I went with black and white photos so that I could use the busy prints and the bold colors of the papers without interference from colors in the photos.  I simply layered some papers behind each photo and then tucked a few elements in with them like gold leaves and transparencies.

Then I added a few chipboard pieces on top and some ink splatters and stitching.  And I also decided to do my journaling in white pen since i wanted the focus to be on the photos and embellies.

New Markdowns!

Do you realize that summer CHA is just over a month away?  I am already getting emails from manufacturers with some sneaks of their upcoming releases.

Here's the problem....I need more space to put it all!  So all this week I am marking down HUNDREDS of products!  You will start seeing them in the "SALE-25% off" category. But here's the BEST part....the sale prices work with the monthly coupon codes!  So, for example, if there is a piece of paper that is marked down 25% off (let's say an $0.89 piece of paper is marked down to $0.67), when you enter the code JUNEBUG20, that is an ADDITIONAL 20% off the the $0.67, which makes the piece of paper only $0.54!

Here are just a few of the manufacturers that will have markdowns:

American Crafts
Basic Grey
Bella Blvd
Carta Bella
Echo Park
Elle's Studio
Fancy Pants
Glitz Designs
Jillibean Soup
Lily Bee
My Mind's Eye
October Afternoon
Pebbles
Simple Stories
Studio Calico
Webster's Pages

That a LOT!!!!

***************** recent layout*******************

Sharing a page I recently made celebrating my 38th B-day!!  I used some Bella Blvd, Basic Grey, and Heidi Swapp for this page.

I printed the numbers on my page through my Silhouette software and then had the 3 and the 8 cut out and just put patterned paper behind them.  Then just some layering of bits here and there!

Hey Brother....

We've been listening to the radio a lot lately in the car, and my little ones love when the song "Hey Brother" by Avicii comes on.  So when I saw the big HEY sticker from the Basic Grey Highline stickers, I decided to use it as the title for my page!

I created some frames around my photo by cutting out the scalloped circles from the rainbow rounds paper by Heidi Swapp.  I added some fun bits to the photos including brads and stickers, and I die cut the words "brother" and "sister" from my machine.  I used the Basic Grey alphas to add part of the song lyrics as a sub title.

Finally, I splattered some mists, sequins, brads, and Heidi Swapp transparencies around the page, and finished by adding some journaling around the edge.

Here is sketch #20 from the Sketchathon that was posted yesterday on the forum!  There is still LOTs of time to play along!  I used some Crate Paper Boys Rule for this page.  I really liked the primary colors of the papers and the "chalkboard"-like elements.

And here is the sketch!

I wanted to share this page I created using some Basic Grey Capture and some Crate paper Boys Rule (the same two lines I used on my page last week!  They go SOOO great together!)

I used some puzzle pieces that I cut with my Cameo and layered some stickers and a journaling card.  I outlined the puzzle pieces to make them stand out better.

Around my photo, I layered some stickers, flair, and journaling cards.

youre-so-amaze-3
The funny thing about this page is that one day while my little guy was doing a puzzle, my mother said to him, "You are amazing at that puzzle".  And he responded, "Yes. I am.".  So this sticker from the Basic Grey Capture sticker sheet was just perfect!
