Hello and good morning..
Happy Tuesday!!!!
Well
the sketch-a-thon is in full swing over in the forums to play along
with, a sketch a day for the month of April. This is the page that I
came up with for Day 4's sketch. I always seem to fall in love with the
Fancy Pants releases, and the Flutter collection was no different. I love that it can be used for boy or girl pages.
I
scrapped this photo of our two oldest kids, the photo is from almost a
year ago, and they have grown up sooo much in this last year, it's crazy
how fast it all happens.
I added a bit of a border with a border punch, and added some random stitching also:
I also used several of the diecuts from the ephemera pack, which also had some "blackboard" like diecuts:
Here's the sketch that I created for this page:
If you use it, post it in the comments, I'd LOVE to see how you worked with it!!!
Thanks sooo much for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!!

Spring has SPRUNG!!!
The snow is GONE!!!! Woo hoo! I can't tell you how excited I am! :)
I've been itching to use some "summery" collections, and the Adrift collection from Basic Grey has been calling my name!
I used in on this page with some photos from our trip to the beach while we were in Florida in February. The fog was SO THICK this day, and there was no direct sunshine...it was kind of eerie on the water!
I used a cut file from the Silhouette store for the bottom of the page and then chose some papers from the collection and arranged them from dark to light to create an ombre effect.
Then I just added a few embellies from the die cut pack and sticker sheet, plus a bit of twine.
And HOLY SMOKES I used EYELETS and BRADS! When was the last time YOU did that? lol. I love using stuff from my stash! :)

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter dear readers and friends. I hope everyone is having a beautiful and blessed day. Among a great many things, when I think of Easter, I think of pastel colors. There are soo many beautiful products in the store with soft colors and patterns just perfect for Easter and spring projects.
I absolutely LOVE this sweet flowered paper the American Crafts Day Dreamer collection. The soft look and colors of the flowers are quite dreamy.
I absolutely LOVE this sweet flowered paper the American Crafts Day Dreamer collection. The soft look and colors of the flowers are quite dreamy.
And I am a HUGE sucker for anything with tiny dots all over it, and just love how fun this Chic Tags paper is. The colors are just dreamy enough yet has a fun boldness to it.
And how fun would this checklist paper by Echo Park be all divided for your journaling.
This dreamy paper by Heidi Swapp is just the right tone to round out your spring pages.
Heidi Swapp also has a way of putting out super fun products you can alter yourself. These white chipboard letters are perfect for adding just a hint of pastel paint or leave them blank for a nice crisp look!
Of course a perfect word strip can add just the right touch to any page, like these sweet pink ones from the Studio Calico Brighton Pier line.
And nothing says spring in my house full of little girls, like a pinweel. I found the cutest pinweel in this American Crafts embellishment pack.
I hope these products inspire you as much as they do me to create sweet pastel inspired, spring projects!! You can grab them all in the store with this months code for 20 % off.I hope everyone has an amazing day and are enjoying the awesomely inspiring sketchs on the forum!

Be Golden
Hello and welcome to the weekend! I hope you are enjoying the April Sketchathon so far! I am loving all of the great sketches and inspiration!
Today, I'm sharing a layout I created for this week's Tuesday Trigger challenge! The theme for March was Green, Gold, and Lucky. I decided to focus on the gold since that is such a hot trend! I challenged participants to use gold accents on their pages! For my layout, I used Crate Paper's Open Book collection and gold foil American Craft Thickers.
Showing some of the pieces from the Ephemera pack as well as Chipboard Accents. I also added a cute ampersand brad that is gold!
More gold goodies! One of the tags has gold foil accent as well as the chipboard heart and little heart brad.
I just love these layered fabric tags! So adorable to add to photos!
The Ephemera pack has many little die cuts such as this pennant and half scalloped circle.
Thanks for stopping by today! Next, visit our forum for today's sketch plus many more challenges! And have you seen all of the new products in this week at the shop?
Have a great day!

Happy Birthday layout + a process video!
Happy Friday, friends! It's Missy here with my weekly layout share. We are celebrating the month of April with our annual Sketchathon over on our forums! A new sketch every day for the entire month! Woo hoo!! I created today's sketch, and we would LOVE to have you join us for some scrappin'!
Go HERE to see the sketch!
Here's the layout I created from it. I used the new Basic Grey Prism collection, which is available in the store HERE. I started with the geometric stamp, then added my paper layers, and finally moved on to the mixed media stage. I usually start with the paint first, but this one went a little backwards. The end result is the same, but the process just took a different turn. And that's what keeps it interesting, right?!
My background color is from using watercolors on a piece of plastic packaging and smooshing it down on to the paper like you would a stamp. I used lots of goodies from the collection...there are some really fun die cuts and acetate pieces.
Here you can see all the layers, stamping and stitching. I've been using my Tiny Attacher more these days...
Aren't those acetate die cuts adorable? I layered a few of them together here and made my journaling fit the open spaces created by the die cuts and my title.
I did wind up using these messy scribbly circles instead of the square in the sketch, but the rest of it is pretty much the same. I did add some of my favorite Michael's washi tape here.
And a close up look at the paint. Using plastic to apply the paint is so fun and you get such an abstract artsy look. I just love it!
Here's a process video showing you how I put this layout together from start to finish. Enjoy!
I hope you'll come join us for our Sketchathon! I'll be back later throughout the month with three more sketches. The rest of the team is doing an outstanding job with the sketches, so don't miss out on all the fun and different styles of sketches!
Have a great weekend!
Missy :)
