A non-winter collection for a winter page..

I decided to try and use a non-wintry collection of papers for a snowy layout (not that I don't have a ton of winter/Christmas paper!).  And the My Mind's Eye "Collectable" collection was just right.  I used some softer greens and blues on my snowy page:

I created this page based on a sketch designed exclusively for the My Scraps & More sketch a thon by Diana Fisher!  You have to visit the forum HERE to see the sketch!

On the background, I added a thin layer of gesso and then used a Versamark pen and drew in some circles. I then covered them with gold embossing powder and heated.

I also stamped the snowflakes with a MME Collectable stamp set and heat embossed them in white and cut them out.  I added some epoxy circles to the centers and scattered them on the page.

The rest is just paper layers with some stickers, chipboard, die cuts, washi tape, and twine!

Hope you are enjoying the Sketch A Thon!

Beach Hugs

Hello and good morning...

One line that I was super excited to see this last CHA release was the Glitz Uncharted Water!!! I am a super beach-ey chic and have a TON of beach/water/ swimming photos, I could probably scrap them for a couple of months and not run out.

Today I am sharing a layout using the Uncharted Water line, with some photos of our family at the beach on a mini vacation last summer.
I added some blue mist to create more of a "water" feel to my page.
This line also has some really cute diecuts, like this fun whale. I couldn't resist adding this guy to my layout.
So if you haven't looked in the My Scraps store, make sure to check out the Glitz Uncharted line HERE.

In case you haven't joined the My Scraps & More forum, make sure that you check it out... the Sketch-A-Thon is going on ALL month and there is a spectacular sketch posted everyday to keep your mojo busy!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!!

MME Washi Tape Love

It's the weekend!  Yeah!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far.  Missy here to share a page I made using mostly washi tapes from My Mind's Eye.  I started out by watering down some blue paint and just randomly painting & dripping on the paper.  I added some splatters, too.  Then I just grabbed a few border stamps and randomly stamped, and then I started adding washi strips.  What I love about this is that there was really no rhyme or reason...I just chose several of the new MME Collectable tapes and started sticking.  It came together really fast.  You should definitely give this kind of layout a try...no patterned paper at all!  Well, those hearts were cut from paper, but that's it.  Super fun, fast & easy!

All of these washi tapes are available in the My Scraps store HERE.  Don't forget about our Sketch-a-thon going on all month long.  A new sketch goes up on the boards every day this month!  You don't want to miss out on the chance to win a fabulous prize :)

Thanks for dropping by today....have a wonderful weekend!

Missy :)

March 1st is HERE!

Hello everyone!  I can't believe it is March 1st already!  That means that it's the start of our Sketch-A-Thon all month on the Message Board.  Tammi has the first sketch posted for you, so go check it out HERE.

I have been so lucky to get to be a part of the Glitz team, and LOVE LOVE LOVE the new collections.

I created this page with the "Color Me Happy" collection, with its bright rainbow of colors and woodgrain and black papers, too....

I used the phone stamp as my inspiration for the design of the page, mimicking the rotary dial, but using bright colors and numbers.   Inside the circle, I stamped with some number stamps and then heat embossed some of them in bright colors, too.

I then heat embossed the phone stamp, the hello stamp, and then just layered some die cuts and papers around mt photo!

This fun collection is sure getting me in the mood for spring!!  Have a great weekend!

-Audrey
