Birthday Girl {Echo Park}

Happy Saturday, My Scraps fans!  Missy here to share a fun page I created using Echo Park's Here and Now collection.  Let me just say that in every collection there is that one piece of patterned paper that turns out to be my favorite.  In this collection, every piece is my favorite!  No kidding!  The colors are so bright and beautiful, and I really didn't want to actually cut any of them.  I'm sure you know what I'm talking about...haha!  I had to sit and stare at these papers for a while before I hacked them up :D

These pictures of Paige were taken just after she turned two.  I wanted to create a birthday layout without it looking like a party page.  I started with some gelatos to create a watercolor effect around the page, and then I layered in my papers, washi tape and stamps.

Bubble Boy (Lily Bee)

The Lily Bee collections in the store right now have some AWESOME prints and colors for the summer.  The best thing about Lily Bee papers is that they are generic enough in patterns, and the prints are small enough that you can use them on virtually ANY page.

I went through my Lily Bee stash and found some papers from the Sweet Shoppe and Pinwheel collections that had circles or "bubble" shapes on them and used them for my page.

I wanted the circles to "pop" off the page, so I cut the lower layers of paper to provide a thin white border, and the I also used some pop dots.  I love the way the arrows on the page make it feel like the circles are going in different directions.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!!!  I hope you are enjoying the day celebrating America's birthday with your family.  We celebrate by relaxing.  We like to go over to my parents and spend the day swimming and grill up some hamburgers.  Sometimes we go see the fireworks and other times we pop them at home.  My kids are doing a good job in following in my footsteps and becoming little pyros when it comes to fireworks.

I thought with it being 4th of July it was only fitting to do a page about the 4th.  This is my son doing his share of lighting up the night.  I used Simple Stories 24/7 for this page.

Gone Fishing

Good morning and happy Wednesday! Summer is in full swing around here and the kids are enjoying being home!
Lisa here with you today to share a layout I made using the Echo Park Happy Camper line. We enjoy camping and theses papers were perfect! I punched my border using a Kreaxions punch and weaved ribbon through it and added some stitching and paint spatters.

Hello and good morning...

Today I am sharing with you one of my FAVE new lines... Echo Park's Here & Now collection. The colors, and patterns just grabbed my attention instantly when it came out. I just adore it. I have really enjoyed the chalkboard aspect of the line, it's really playful. One thing that really stood out was the word CAPTURE and how often it was used. I think that we as scrapbookers, this is what we are trying to achieve, to capture memories with our photos and pages.

I actually used this line for a sports page of my daughter:

I actually used the word capture through out my layout:

I also fussy cut several of the elements out of the papers- the flowers and clouds and added them to the page:

and added a scallop border to create some movement at the center of the page:

Since I have been away, I haven't had any scrappy time. I am dying to play with the new Fancy Pants collections that arrived right before I left!! Anyone get a chance to play with them yet?
