My mother's daughter with Simple Stories

Good morning friends! Today I am sharing a layout I created for Tuesdays challenge on the forum, and for St.Patty's Day. It is not a huge holiday in our home, but stopping to document things that we find lucky to have in life is always a great idea!

I absolutely LOVE the Simple Stories I am line. It is so versatile in the tones you can mix and match on your projects, making it seem to stretch farther. I stuck to blacks, whites, golds ,and a tad of green for this page. The golds in this line are so pretty. A bit like gold foil.
I started my page with spreading out the small frames from the chipboard frames pack. I wanted to use two of them to fill with lots of tiny bits and parts from the sticker pack and wood veneers pack.

I love the wood veneer letters they added to the wood veneer pack, creating the phrase "I am". I love the look it brings to a page!

If your are still undecided about this line, I am telling you, you wont regret it, it is soo fabulous in person! I hope you all have an amazing Sunday, and thanks for dropping in!!

Hello Ten

Hello and Happy Saturday! Yesterday was the official start of spring so I hope today  the weather is sunny and warm for you!

Today, I am sharing a layout I created for this week's Word Up Wednesday.  I asked participants to hide their journaling such as under a photo or a flap.  I used Echo Park's new Anything Goes collection from the My Scraps and More shop!  I love the colors and the prints are perfect for pretty much any theme!

Two of the papers in the collection pack have journaling cards that are great for cutting out and using on your layout (or in pocket pages!)  I selected this cute 3x4 card and added one of the pennant stickers.  I "popped up" my photo using foam dots so I could slide my card underneath.

Also included in the collection are two sets of 12x12 sticker sheets including these fun multi colored alphas!   I added an arrow and "hello" sentiment along with some enamel stars from my stash.

Showing more of the cute coordinating stickers!

Another cute (and very perfect) sticker from Anything Goes!  My daughter and her friend have been BFFs since kindergarten!

Thank you for stopping by today! Check out the forums for more challenges and great inspiration from our design team!  Also, there are LOTS of new goodies in the shop this week!
Have a great day!

I Am Lucky

Hey, friends!  Missy here with you today.  I hope you're enjoying your Friday so far!  The layout I'm sharing here was for this week's Mix It Up Monday challenge over on our forum.  The challenge was to use a die cut or cut file, something with stripes and flowers.

I used the new Simple Stories I Am collection, and boy is it gorgeous!  I had a hard time narrowing down which pieces to use.  I seriously wanted to use ALL of it at once.  I started with the background cut file.  You can find it for FREE in the store HERE.  I always have to jazz up my backgrounds, so I added some paint.  You can see how I did it in my process video down below!  (I just started a YouTube channel sharing my process videos, so I hope you'll check it out!)

Here's my stripes element....this border sticker from the sticker sheet. I layered it under the die cut and over the painted background.  You can also see my tangled thread and stickers layered here.  That arrow  is a stamp.

I added some washi tape, some stitching and a few flair buttons.  I love how the cut file doesn't lay completely flat...it gives nice depth.

Here's a shot of the top...it's a mixture of tape, stickers, stitching, chipboard....and a date stamp.  I used another flair button here as well.

I really love how the title turned out.  I paired some of the stickers from the collection with this Lucky die cut.  I used a sheet from the 6x6 paper pad to cut it.  I really love this font...it's called Mf Queen Leela.

Here's the video if you'd like to see how my crazy brain works when I'm scrapping :)

I hope this inspires you to try one of our challenges!  Every day brings something new and fun.  Hope to see you there!!

Have a great weekend!

Missy :)

I am blessed

I know I've said it before, but I am in love with the Simple Stories I Am collection.  It works for so many different kinds of layouts.  In this case, a layout about my birthday breakfast tradition with my best friend.  I am truly blessed to have a friend like this...and a wonderful tradition that we love!

I really love the sticker pack  that coordinates with this line.  You get so much for only about $4...words, stickers, (the gold word blessed, the phrase stickers and the stars all came from it).  Love this line and can't wait to get more of it!

Pinkfresh Studios

Hey Scrappy Friends!
Lisa here today to share a few layouts I created using Pinkfresh Studio's Up In The Clouds Collection.
For my first layout I used the My Scraps & More sketch #101 from the Sketch Blog and came up with this fun layout:

I added some watercolor to pop the photos more.
I love the Gold Studio Puffs. They are so fun!

I added lots of diecuts from this line and added a bunch to my layout:

For my second page I cut a heart file from white cardstock using my Cameo and added some watercolor to it.

This background paper was perfect for this photo of my kids.
I added 3 of the Wood Beads, love these too!

I fussy cut some triangles, stitching and added them and then added some of the diecuts from this line.

I used some Thickers from my stash:

Thanks for sharing your day with us!

Love Love Love.

Hello and good morning...

Happy St Patty's Day!! Hope you remembered to wear your green today.

I used some of the Pink Fresh Studio Up in the Clouds collection on a layout of my little one from Halloween. Even though they are Halloween photos, I thought this line was perfect for it. I just loved how fun and playful the line is, and it made it super easy to work with.

I added some of the Studio Puffs embellies throughout the layout:

And fussy cut out the LOVE word and added it for my title work:

I also punched circles out from the Circle sheet of paper and used the ombre red & blue washi tape:

So make sure to head on over to the store and checkout the Pink Fresh collection.... and check out the latest sketch on the My Scraps & More sketch blog. There will be a new sketch up on Friday to play along with....

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

New Jillibean Soup (and it's STILL winter..*sigh*)

Just when I thought spring was around the corner, it's supposed to be a high of 26 on Wednesday.  Brrrrr....
I have a TON of winter photos, and although a lot of newer releases are kinda spring-like, it doesn't mean they can be used for snowy scenes!  I used the bright and fun Pinkfresh Studio Up in the Clouds collection for this page.  The pinks in the collection went perfect with the color of my daughter's jacket.

On the bottom of the page, I used one of the new "Invisibles" from Bella Blvd (hopefully arriving this week).  I stitched it closed and left a little opening to add some snowflakes and sequins to the inside.  I also used a few circle punched pieces of paper.

I added a few more circles, and then cut the triangle shapes from the paper below to make it look like icicles.
