Rough and Tumble

These pictures are almost 2 years old now.  I remember thinking what a big deal it was when Jacob hit double digits and moved into the pre-teen years and now this year I will face the reality that I will have a teenager (still in a bit of denial).

I used Carta Bella's Rough and Tumble line for this page.  At first glance this line looks somewhat juvenile but with the the great invention of double sided paper one side hides the younger boy look, so it still works for my almost teen.

We R Family!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!
I have been playing with the We R Family line by Lily Bee Designs and I am loving it! This line is perfect for all those family get togethers!

For my first layout I used Sketch #60 from the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog along with a Kreaxions Punch. I fussy cut the doilies and added a flair:

and a few close ups:

For my second layout, I added a ticket, some misting and a small amount of patterned papers to make this layout:

Here are a few close ups:

Love You Always

Hello and good morning....

I am always a sucker for a good Valentine's Day line, not too themey, but one that can work for almost any occasion  that is love related. The latest one from Crate is just that perfect balance!!!!I used Crate's Love Story line for this page and two photos that I printed off Instagram of me with the kids.

For years I didn't like being in front of the camera. I avoided it, I dreaded it, and didn't like it.. but now I look back and am sad I didn't take more pics of me with the kids when they were smaller.. do I like being in front of the camera now? I don't love it, but I want to take pictures with my kids, and that my kids will have photos of me. They see me everyday and remember me for me, and regardless of what I am not, they still love me.

I added lots of layers and used the Crate stickers for my wording and hearts:

I punched a scallop border on the page to give a more "frilly" feel to it, and then just added some thickers in between some of the Crate stickers for my title work:

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!!

Giveaway Monday and folded papers!

Hello Hello everyone!  This is Audrey with my FIRST post as new store owner!!

This past Friday I issued a challenge on the board to see some paper folding!  Folding your papers to reveal the backsides on corner, edges, or even by creating interesting patterns with punched pieces is so much fun!  I created this page using some of the Crate Paper "Love Notes", Echo Pack "I Want Candy", and Studio Calico collections.

You have until the first Sunday of February to upload your projects to the forums, so let's seem them!

As you may know, the store is postponing orders until February 1st so that I can have time to set up the inventory in it's new home! So for this week, I will be giving away a grab bag of goodies to one commentor throughout the week!  Leave a comment on each daily post to increase your chances of winning!

Last weeks winner is Tracy F. who will win a prize package  of Echo Park goodies!  Tracy please contact me at info@myscrapsandmore.com with your information!

Have a great week everyone!

Adorable

Happy Saturday, My Scraps fans!  Missy here.  Today I'm sharing a layout based on this week's sketch on our sketch blog.  I have such a huge stash of papers....it's really out of control.  I hadn't used up all of my Jillibean Soup collections, so I pulled them out and went to work.  I love this Chilled Cucucmber Soup line...the yellows, blues, greens and greys are just so pretty together.

I really wanted to use these adorable little 3x4 cards with quotes and sayings on them, but I couldn't decide which one.  Well, I used both :)  I added in lots of the little coordinating stickers, banners, and butterflies as well.

These  numbers made up another 3x4 card, but I cut them to make number border underneath my photos.  I popped up the 2 since she's two and added some cord around it to make it stand out a little more.

I cut my title on my Cameo (something I do a lot these days) and outlined with with a black pen.  I like it to look a little messy and not so perfect.  I outlined the butterflies, too.

More pop dots and stickers!  And I added some matching floss/thread here.  That's one of my new favorite things these days.  Fun and easy way to add a little pop of color here and there.

I hope you'll join us in this week's sketch.  Of course, there's a prize up for grabs :)  And did you know we're having a Design Team Call for the Sketch Blog?  Yep...you can check it out HERE.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a GREAT weekend!

Missy :)

Snowball Fight!

I wanted to share with you today a page I made for Tammi's 12 Days of Christmas challenges!  The challenge was a lift and I loved the way the twine was swirled down the page, so I picked up on that look.  I used Crate Paper's Bundled Up collection for this page.  It is just perfect for winter photos!

Here's a little peak at the twine, which I stapled, and a few of the snowflakes that I punched layered on the doilies in the background.

I love that Crate Paper makes pre-stiched embellishments!

Lots of layering with die cuts, tags, and stickers!

Be sure to check out this beautiful winter collection in the store!

Live Love Dance

I hope you are not buried in snow.  We don't really have that issue down here in TX and I will say I am grateful for that.  I need sun and warm temperatures for at least 75% of the year.  When it does get cold I only want it to last a day or two then I want it back near the70's.  If you are hidden under snow and clouds then grab some bright and cheery scrappy supplies and let that brighten your day.

Bella Blvd Daily Chevies is a line that can certainly do that.  I love the bright colors and how the basic patterns are so versatile.  Since my daughter had purple in her dance outfit I chose to pull the purple into it but this line really isn't girly.
