Wendi's Reveal... MME Lost & Found

I am sooooo excited to be sharing my projects with you today. October is my FAVE month of the year. Fall is in the air, the leaves are changing colors and it's time for sweaters and jeans again. But, most importantly is the holiday of Halloween!!! That's a HUGE holiday at our house, we LOVE to decorate, dress up, and get spooked.

When Tammi asked us to design with the MME's Lost and Found Halloween collection, I was ultra excited!!! This is what I created with the line:

I created this layout of the kids at Disneyland last year as it was decorated for Halloween (our favorite time to be there). I used some of the MME glittered accessories sheet to add some accents on the page. I also cut out penant banners and layered them under the photo.

Next I made this layout of the kids in their pirates costumes, they both decided to be pirates. I went with some cleaner edges and brought out my corner rounder. I also added some bling and speckled it in with the polka dots for a bit of texture.

I made a couple of fun Halloween cards with my scraps:

And for one final project, I created a BOO banner to hang in the living room, to get in the Halloween spirit. It's the first Halloween decoration that went up in the house this year:

I just LOVE the color mix in this line, and the fun glitter that adds just the right amount of sparkle to your project...

Thanks sooo much for stopping by, and don't forget to check out the My Scraps & More store to stock up on some of the MME Lost & Found Halloween line. Halloween is going to be here before you know it.

Have a wonderful day

Giveaway Monday 10/15/12

Happy Monday to you all!! I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend. Mine was highlighted with my son's birthday party for his friends at the park. We played flag football, corn hole, ate pizza and just had a blast!!! I am sure you will see some pictures in some layouts soon!!

Today's giveaway sticks with Design Team reveal week here at My Scraps & More, which features the Lost & Found Halloween collection. This line is full of beautiful glittered and non-glittered papers to dress up those spooky photos. They also work great with the everyday pictures as well, that Missy showcased on her blogpost yesterday!! Here is a layout that I put together from Halloween last year, of my son and his not-so-scary Halloween costume...a soccer player. All three of my kids were never ones to want to get into the Halloween spirit. What's the deal with that?!? I loved it as a kid!!

Leave me a comment by midnight on the 21st  letting me know your favorite costume you or your kids dressed up as, for your chance to win the Lost & Found Halloween collection kit! Our lucky winner from last week is...

Missy's DT Reveal - MME Lost & Found Halloween

Hey there, scrappy friends!  Missy here to share some scrappy goodness with you today :)  I hope you've had a wonderful weekend wherever you are.  Here in Florida, the weather has been amazing!  Today starts a week of Design Team Reveals here at My Scraps and More, and this month, the team is showcasing the My Mind's Eye's Lost and Found Halloween collection.

I really love making Halloween pages.  They're just so fun & festive.  These papers have lots of black and orange, and even though the papers & embellishments ARE for Halloween, you can clearly make pages that aren't Halloween-related at all.  This first page features a picture of my daughter giving me her "Get that camera out of my face right now" face...haha!  I wanted to play off the "poison" and "danger" feel of this, so I added some black paint drips and splatters and some spider web stamps.

These pictures were from the pumpkin patch, and two years ago, my little Paige was terrified of the pumpkins for some reason.  The look on her face says it all...poor kid!  But you know us crazy scrappers...happy or sad, we're going to take a picture of it...haha!

Another page that doesn't show Halloween photos...just some shots of Reese screaming at the top of her lungs for whatever reason.  I liked that the Halloween papers played off the photos & title nicely :)

Finally, I altered this cheap wooden pen & pencil holder.  Or it could hold Halloween candy!  I'm sure you could find lots of uses for it.  I got it at Michael's a few years ago and it was just sitting on my shelf collecting dust.  It needed to be dressed up, and these papers & embellies were a perfect match :)

As always, you can purchase this awesome line at the My Scraps store right HERE. It's a fun line to work with, and the embellishments are so much fun.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for stopping by.

October Sketch using Basic Grey

Are we seriously almost half way through October??? I can't believe it!

We are having a beautiful fall. I love trying to find papers that are not necessarily "fall" themed and try to use them on a page. The accent colors in the Basic Grey Clippings collection were actually just perfect for a fall page!

And do you recognize this design? I created my page using the October sketch challenge. I flipped the sketch and added a few more circles and some other accents. Here is the sketch:

If you create something with this sketch, you can link it up on THIS POST for a chance to win the monthly prize!

The not-so-great photo

Do you scrap your not-so-great photos.  Of course we all want our pages to be fabulous and many times that starts with an adorable or fun photo but we don't always get so lucky.  No matter how good we try there are those photos that just don't come out so great.  If I had been smart when we went to the Rangers game I would have gone down before the game and snapped photos in front of the statues, but I didn't.  It ended up being dark out with a huge bright sign glowing in the background but I still really wanted the photo so I had to take what I could get.   Sometimes you get what you get and go with it.

The perfect sports page needs the perfect sports line, Fancy Pants Little Sports Collection.
