Three Cards A Charm!

Good morning! I had so much fun creating with the Jillibean Chilled Strawberry Soup and Homemade Six Bean Soup that I was sent! When all my layouts were done I was left with a pile of pieces - they quickly were put to use!
I made these just because cards in no time at all!

Make it Work

For me a simple piece of cardstock is not enough for my background paper.  If I could, I would use pattern paper for all my backgrounds.  Unfortunately that can get quite expensive.  I also have a hard time using a sheet of really good paper from a collection when I know so much of it will be covered up.  I found a paper pack of ledger paper for really cheap, unfortunately all of it had some little design either down the side or in the corners.  But I love the grid look as background paper so I bought it anyway.  I've had to become quite creative to make it work but it has been worth it for the price I paid.

This is a piece of that paper combined with Echo Park This and That Charming collection.  You can see just a bit of the leaf pattern down in the corner.  I misted the paper and hit that corner pretty thick with the mist so it wouldn't stand out to much and was quite happy with how it cam out.

A little of this and a little of that...

Don't you love it when you have odds and ends left of your lines and you fine the perfect match for it!? I had some of the Echo Park Boy's Life line and the BoBunny On the Go line and they were perfect together! And the end result - a great LO, and more room in my stash to stock up on all the new yumminess in the store!

Now go get some scrappy time in before summer is over and the busyness of school, sports and life in general returns! And remember you only have 10 days left to get your LOs in for the My Scraps Got Talent contest - stay tuned for one more sketch going up this week over in the forum!

Good Morning! I can not believe that it is AUGUST already!! This means I only have a few more Monday mornings to sleep in before the school year routine starts! I feel for those of you who start school this month. I am just not ready for my summer to be over yet! Today my 10 year old son, Connor, starts football. By his looks alone, small and skinny,  you would not think that he was a football player, but he is so excited to play! I am super nervous that he will get hurt but I have to trust in the coaches that he will be safe, and let Connor do what he is passionate about.
