Hey there, My Scraps fans!  Missy here to share a layout I created using the Acorn Ave collection from Crate Paper.  I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with their families!  I can't believe the end of the year is upon us and it will soon just be a memory.  I wish everyone of you a very Happy New Year!

Now, here's my page...this line is very versatile and can be used for so many different styles of scrapping.  A lot of the embellishments are fall-related, but as you can see, you don't have to scrap a fall photo to make it work.

This line of beautiful papers & embellishments is available in the My Scraps store right HERE. There are so many new lines coming out soon...I can't wait to get my hands on some of them!

Have a wonderful day!

Missy :)

at the store...

Our daily routines are so important to document, even things like going to the store!  :)  Don't you wish they had carts like these when we were little??

I used some papers from Crate Paper, Simple Stories and American Crafts.  I toned down the background a bit by painting it with gesso.

I cut the little pie chart circles from patterned paper and scattered them around.

My page is based on today's sketch on the My Scraps & More Sketch blog!  Check it out HERE!

An Early Resolution

If you have been over to the forum, you may have heard of my early resolution already.  I've been eying a few lines in the store and CHA is coming soon with all the bright colors I love that come out this time of year, but I have so much paper.  It is hard to justify buying any new stuff.  I will of course though because if you miss a line you may never have a chance to get it again :)  So I decided to make myself an early New Years Resolution.

I started digging into my old paper and grabbing out lines that only had a few sheets and some scraps left to them.  I then got to work creating pages with only that line until it was gone.  I either used every bit of it or what was left was so small I threw it away.  I have worked through 5 lines doing this and feel so much better about when all the new stuff comes out being able to buy it :)

One of the lines I worked with was Echo Park Note to Self.  I actually made 6 LO's out of the remainder of this line.  Here are just two of them.

Hope this has inspired you.  Are you planning on making any New Years Scrappy Resolutions?

A card & a layout by Missy

Good morning, friends!  Missy here to share some projects with you :)

It's Christmas Eve Eve...can you believe it?  I'm up to my eyeballs in wrapping paper, ribbon & bows this weekend :)  I hope you're enjoying the holidays and are getting to visit with family and getting to eat lots of yummy food.

If you have any spare scrappy time, here are is a card to draw some inspiration from.  I created it using the leftover scraps from the January "You Are My...Happy" Kit.  I LOVE this kit...I've already made three layouts from it that were posted last Sunday!  I can't stop using it!

I also made a layout to's not about Christmas, but it's about Thanksgiving.  I used the Thankful collection from Authentique.  Every year at my daughters' school, everyone celebrates the book Stone Soup, which tells the story of how the Indians all came together and shared by putting different ingredients into the soup pot.  There's a stone in there, too...that's what makes it taste so delicious :)  Anyway, everyone eats the soup, they dress up like Pilgrims & Indians, and they do all kinds of activities & crafts to celebrate Thanksgiving.

You can purchase the kit and this Thankful collection in the My Scraps store...along with LOTS of other gorgeous lines.  Go HERE to check it all out!

I hope you have a wonderful day....and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & Season's Greetings!!

Missy :)

A way to honor the victims of Sandy Hook...

Like many of you, I am devastated by the events that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary school last Friday. I have been trying to figure out a way to help and this morning was instantly drawn after reading this blog post. Perhaps you will want to help as well. Crafters are very giving people and this seems like such a simple, yet perfect, way we can give to that community. I am planning on donating the Santa Sacks that I have left in stock but also am going to make more. If you wish to donate one in your name you can do so here. In the comment section simply state that you wish to donate this to honor the victims of Sandy Hook.  Please know that I am not profiting from these Santa Sacks in any way whatsoever. The boxes are filled with paper and embellishment that are way below wholesale costs. This is just an easy way if you don't have a stash of your own.

God Bless

All is Bright....

Hi everyone!  Just a quick post today to share a little holiday card I made with my January kit "Snow Day"!  Tammi has such a knack for putting kits together!  You are really gonna love this kit!!

I simply cut the hills and trees and star by hand, and added a bit of glitter paint!  Easy Peasy!

Hope you all have a blessed and wonderful holiday season!

Missy's January Kit Reveal

Hey  there, scrappy friends!

Missy here today to share a few projects I created using the January Kit "You Are My...Happy." I have to say that I really love this kit!  The colors are just gorgeous...the blues, yellows & greys really look great together.  I had lots of fun creating these pages!

This page was easy to throw together.  I just created strips from several of the patterned papers and added them to the top and bottom.  My arrows are the negative cuts from another arrow shape on one of my other pages.  I loved the way they looked, so I didn't want to waste them.  I love the folder tabs that are included in the kit...the good thing is that you can cut them and only use one tab at a time and you still have one of the same left over to use again :)

I created this page on Kraft cardstock to show how great these papers play off of any neutral background.  I used a chevron stamp from my stash & some inks to dirty up my background a little.  I really love the journaling spots paper...lots of places for storytelling.  And don't forget about the washi that!

I love this page...I don't scrap photos of just me and my husband often.  I've only done a few in my scrappy life, and every time I do, I wonder why I don't do it more often.  It's fun to break away from the kids once in a while and focus on us.  This page is based on an exclusive sketch that is included in this kit.  I added the flower, brad & button from my stash.

If you like what you see, you can purchase this kit right HERE in the My Scraps store.  Use the code MISSY20 and get 20% off!  Sounds like a great Christmas gift to yourself or for a scrappy friend :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Sunday!
